As we head through the afternoon, much of this rain is going to be moving in and i think it is going to be more of an afternoon type event. The nature coast can get in on some of the showers here for the midst Morning Hours but for most of us here in the bay area, it looks like 3 00 through the 7 00 timeframe, the best chance for those clouds will hold 40 and those clouds will hold temperatures down. If you add them up there, are 57 markers. You can see big concentrations on the interstates and mostly the urban areas. Less than a year ago, the Florida Department of transportation looks at how to stop it. 280 crashes from 2009 to 2013. Those crashes hurt 400 people and killed 75. We asked state attorney mark ober what he thinks should be done to prevent the tragedies. The Million Dollar question is how do we prevent it and it have stop sticks going the wrong way. It is preventible. It is avoidable. In the 1980s im a survivor of physical, emotional and sexual abuse from my exhusband for seven years. That is the reason why you yes. Tell us how you got involved. We worked together at the state attorneys office. In Hillsborough Community college and val started telling her story. It was the first time she was story on Domestic Violence. I thought it was important to share her story with everyone said, the emotional abuse, the sexual abuse, the physical violence. There is another component which is the economic abuse people go through. You take someones cell phone, smashing it to pieces, throwing someones laptop into the pool. Youre destroying their livelihood and their ability to succeed. Im happy to do it. There are eight women involved in the fashion show today. What is it like to work with these women. It is great. It is wonderful. Theyre all victims and survivors some type of abuse whether it be physical, emotional or sexually. I have prostitution, i have drug and alcohol abuse, and i also, i am also doing modelling that she has been a victim of a tragic accident. She lost all three of her daughters in a tragic accident this year. And felix, youre an attorney. What is it like to have this oneonone interaction with these women . It is wonderful. Ive worked with val and her friend, michelle who was not only a Domestic Violence survivor but a prostitute. A drug addict. She had a horrible, horrible life and to see them come from such a pit of despair and turn their lives around, become successful women, career minded women and extraordinary things theyve gone through, a lot of that deals with their faith and their family. And really, the support structure that they find after they survive the abuse theyve been through. It has been a fantastic experience. It opened my eyes as a prosecutor and also, i think it opened a lot of peoples eyes working with val over the past couple of years and months on this project. Absolutely. Are you hoping they walk away with this with hope . Yes. Definitely. And the event today, give us the details. The embassy suites. Kickoff with the run way shows. We hope to see you there. We have some steering which will push rain into the area, down at the surface, the winds will pick up as well. 72 there but in tampa right now it is 70 degrees and that number there, the dew point is why it feels so balmy outside. The air is quite humid, the air is going to be producing these showers and storms. Here you see it back over the gulf of mexico, especially arn the big bend through the nature coast, this area here from about pasco county north ward into cedar key, this is the area that will first get the rain as it moves off towards the east. Most of us, though, will have to wait until the afternoon hours for this band of rain to come in. Ive put this trough line in because be thiend is drier weather and well behind it is drier weather and well see the drier weather return tomorrow. This is a quick, one shot deal. It will last through the early evening hours, so, as we head through the afternoon, watch for the weather to start to deteriorate some what. Well see pop up showers and thunderstorms with the heating over land but here is the more solid band of rain that will come through as we head into the Late Afternoon and early evening hours, this is why im not thinking it will be a very good sunset or beach day by the time you get out there unless youre out there now, later today well be dealing with that rain. The drier weather quickly comes in. This is the moisture in the atmosphere showing up as green, the whole depth of the capitol yum of air dfshgs column of air. That is replaced by drier weather for the week. As we end the week friday into the up coming weekend, well see more moisture back and that gets us into an unsettled pattern. Today were seeing temperatures marving out in the 80s maxing out in the 80s. As we head into the evening, the mid to upper 60s and for boaters today, winds will be fresh out of the south at around 15 knots and were coming up on the low tide with the high tide this evening. You see the rain chances for tomorrow, primarily in the Morning Hours, those low rain chances and then back to dry weather. The highs in the 80s through saint pattys day ending the week with a stalled front to the north. It looks like by the weekend, that may actually come a little bit further into the bay area so i dont think next weekend, this far out looks all that great. It looks like rain around for friday and saturday. Take your raincoats as you head to the grand prix. Players get spring training haircuts for a good cause. Highlights are next in sports.
