Plant city, brandon, east into lakeland and seeing thick fog but other places in polk county like winter haven are in the Pinellas County. The fog forecast through the next hour with the patchy dense fog. By 8 00 a. M. , its starting to break up. And by 9 00, we are basically clear. And its cool they are morning too. 52 in zephyrhills. 53 in tampa. And 55 in bradenton. Once the fog burns off, a gorgeous day on tap with the high of 70. At 6 08 in weather and traffic on the 8s, im going to go hour byhour through the day. And leslee is here to get you street by street through the fog. Thats right. Im checking the cameras you are fine on 275. And within a mile, it changes drastically. But as you move on to i4 towards polk county, look how it changes. Fantastic now through the lakeland area. This is i4 at the poll, parkway. But at the polk parkway, but again, not too far away. This is bradenton, we have a collision on the side of the roadway here in manatee county. Thats a look at weather and traffic. Breaking news, a shooting investigation in manatee county. This is a live look right there. You can see a bullet hole in the car right there. Put this in perspective for us. What kind ofedness distance are we talking ant about . Reporter where this stands now in Hillsborough County, sex offenders cant live within a thousand feet of a park, school or places where kids would hang out. And some commissioners want to more than double that to 2500 feet. And lets go ahead and zoom in down here. We are in downtown tampa. About a half mile there, are lights there. Thats an apartment complex. That is about 2500 feet. So thats quite a distance. And now something similar passed in pasco county. And today the commissioner will ask the county attorney to draft an ordinance barring new new registered victims whose from living within 2500 feet of kids. Thats more than double the rule right now. On the other hand, critics argue they wont have many places to live if we keep upping the distances. So i do have the sex offender app on my phone. You can download it. Its free. Despite the countys plea, apple is refusing to help unlock the phone. The companys ceo believes if apple is forced to comply, it would damage Encryption Services by creating a back door that could be exploited in the issue. This is Surveillance Video from miramar, south florida. All of that flying around because of the high winds and then look at this here, this is damage left be9 fort lauderdale. Wow, left behind in fort lauderdale. Wow, a lot of damage there. Tractortrailer and rvs tossed around. Despite the destruction, no one was seriously hurt. And even on the water, the tornado did some damage. The high winds overturned dozens of boats off fort and now crews had to use cranes to get the boats right side up again. And theyll be making phone calls to the Insurance Companies later today for sure. And a scary site along the beaches on the east coast. See all those dot thes that youre looking at in the water. Those are sharks. Tens of thousands of black tipped sharks are swimming in the waters just off the coast of florida. And researchers explain its all part of our annual migration pattern. They closed several beaches along the coast. And take a look at this video, a sick manatee is now at lowry park zoo. Some concerned people called the staff when they saw the manatee struggling. They got this video right here of the whole thing happening. Turns out the sea cow was suffering from cold stress and needed immediate help. Divers in the area and Crystal River staff worked together to lead the manatee to the bank. As you can see, the rescue efforts went smythely. The manatee is now recovering in 80degree water. Incredible story. Right here in the backyard where he belongs. Exactly. They get cold but 80degree water at lowry park water, that will do him some good. I am tracking the thick fog in spots.
