If the place wasnt dogfriendly, i didnt go. Good girl. So where did you eat . I ate at wonderful places buzzards roost and places where you can go, and a lot of takeout. I visited a place called the raw bar. Yes. I get the peel and eat shrimp, you know. It was a great, great two weeks of just contemplation and prayer and gratitude and, you know and you made a new friend . I made a wonderful new friend. She was coming over for lunch, and she stayed five hours. Thats almost like yours and mine. Our first lunch. We were five and a half hours. Okay. Go on. We were five and a half hours. We still have the record. The record. Cisse spacek, one of our countrys greatest actresses. She came and i thought she would never go. No, she is so much fun. What did you talk about . We talked about life, and shes so real. Shes a farm girl, and shes just the kind of person that you sit with and, first of all, you say i cant believe im sissy spacek, and our friend bobby watson. Then you say, oh, my gosh, this is like ive known her all my life. Dont you love when that happens. Shes the real, real deal. I gave her a little outfit, and i hope its what shes going to wear at the academy awards. See. We cant wait. I took her into my she was saying i dont have anything to im not going to give it away. I had a good time. Thank you. Not only were you having a nice time, but your daughter is going to be seen and heard by a lot of people coming up soon, right . She was asked theres my baby girl. She was asked to be a special correspondent. Shes going to cohost e. T. s super bowl coverage. What i know, and shes delighted, shes an actress, and thats all shes ever been interested in. But when they called her, you know, she said, mom, what do you think . I said, honey, you know what, my life took a complete turn. You never know. When i got called to go and do that other morning talk show. It took me down a completely different road, but sometimes you have to have you got to and shes so, like, light and airy and fun, and you know, you dont need it shouldnt be football is just a blast. Through her eyes, enjoying the super bowl. Sissy, what was fun with her is her daughter, madison is a designer just like her husband, jack fisk, and jack is nominated for the revenant. Have you seen that one yet . No. We sat as just moms talking about our daughters because cassie did a movie called sinkhole. I had another name for it because it was very hot in texas, and we were in a different kind of hole. We were 30 feet down in a cave. I called it hell hole. For a while. They got to be friends working on the same set. Yeah. Its interesting to have a whole new generation. Lets toast because youre back. I missed you. I missed you too. You called me, and i called you. We tweeted and texted and late last week matt called me, and just to say i was Walking Around going where is our girl, where is our girl . We missed you. Its not the same. You felt like a vibe. Julianne hough played sandy. And aaron tveit played danny. And then this is such a sad turn of events, but Vanessa Vanessa hudgens dad passed away on thursday. She put out a tweet saying thank you to everyone that loved him, and you wondersed if she was going to go on the show, and she did. For him. Her performance was really great. And i dont lie, but i can feel, and i can cry a fact i bet you never knew but the crying in front of you, thats the worst thing i could do they ended up dedicating the show to, yeah, her dad. You know what, though, its it really is when you go back to work. Especially if you are going to do something in honor of someone you loved. Did she go back and she went back and spoke to the crowd. I know she was talking about going back for one day. I was in vegas when my grandmother my dads mom, passed away. The show must go on is true. But again, when you do it for somebody that you love so much, its like theyre still with you. You know that they would want not to sit home. Somebody like her father saw her whole rise, her whole struggle, you know, and, yeah, good for her and god bless her the sag awards were last night too. We missed everything, hodie. She talks about maggots in the food in prison. Had he talks about humiliating stripsearches. And she even talks about a little bit of lesbian love that took place. Ing. Not a little bit. Quite a lot of it. She did not participate in this. Her room was infamous for stuff going on. They called it the boom boom room. The ladies in prison called her hollywood, and she said she each week because she wanted to know what was going on. I know the lady that wrote casey baker, a fantastic journalist at people magazine, she went to the prison pretty much every week to interview theresa because they knew it would come out quickly. Thats smart. Its going to be a huge seller. Between the maggots in the food and working out six hours a also, to plus size was working out. I thought they were supposed to work at some point. Shes been working out. She worked out up to six hours a day. Shes back now happy with her family, but this is going on because her husband is going to prison in a couple of months, and he is going to be gone away for over two years, and then he is not a u. S. Since october weve heard rumors, gossiping about this, and its now been confirmed over the weekend that they are bringing it back to netflix. To be ten weekly episodes or if it might be four 90 minute movie type episodes, so we dont know the format yet. They havent spoke about that. We shouldnt be too surprised about this because netflix just did this for john stamos and full house. Whats going on . Its fuller house now. Everything is an old thing. You know, its branded, and theres so much money to be made. They dont want to reinvent the wheel. You have all the fans that are looking back that are nostalgic and want to see it again. All have you to do is these are just i have seen those things. Were literally talking pennies. Just go in, wrap it up and then then you are i say cut it. Theyre still unsightly, but you just throw it under. Remember, its going to be behind. Not a tangly mess. Lets go to the pantry, shall we . If you are lucky to have one. A lot of people, this is a space thing. A lot of people dont have a pantry. If you have regular shelves in your kitchen, its a great way to even organize them. Were going to start, though, by even just wow. Amazing. It really is, though. It looks so its all together. So fascinated by things i never, ever do. She goes out to lunch every day. You can also write straight on the bag when you open it so youll know if its fresh or not. Thats smart. That doesnt mean youre going to do it. Exactly. Another thing weve done is weve labelled just the lids of the shelving, and thats nice for when you are making your grocery list. You can see what you are missing out on. Really easily. They talked about five emotions people go through after divorce. Relieved, hopeful, confident, empowered, and rejuvenated. I was a little surprised. Maybe not all at the same time, though. I actually theres a survey that bravo did that indicates that most people feel that way. I, however, felt terrified. I had been married for 25 years. I didnt know anything from what my pubic hair design should be [ laughter ] i should start wearing bras and panties that matched or yeah. Or if i should get a tummy tuck. I was so scared about being in my 60s and getting a divorce. I love jeff nodding yes to bras and panties. I was thinking about the other thing she said before. I think what this survey is showing is initially you do have these very positive feelings because you just are out of something that has been totally unhappy. Unhappy for such a long time, but the reality is that you do begin to deal with a lot of those fears and you have to figure it out. You have to work it out. Then eventually you get to that place where there is joy once again. Something you probably have not had for a very long time. It depends on the details, doesnt it . If somebody leaves you for, say, another person, thats pretty devastating. You got to get over that, the rejection part of that. If you have children i have two. I have an 11yearold and 13yearold now, but they were 5 and 8. How tough that was decision . It makes it it makes it so much more difficult, and people stay in marriages because theyre worried about the kids, but i dont know on reflection whether one is better than the other. I think unhappy parents make unhappy children . If you have children, i think certainly it is a factor to look at whether you should keep working on that marriage and whether you can fall in love again and make it work. However, if you are going to be in a situation of where you just are roommates and you are doing it for the kids, i can tell i have seen enough therapy cases where that can really hurt the kids much, much more. They know. I have been interviewing a bunch of couples who have been married for 50plus years for valentines day. They all did say a couple of things. They said, number one, they didnt plan on loving each other forever. They just agreed to love each other tomorrow. They also they all said this. They werent of the generation where you threw something out if it was broken. They all were sort of nodding. Thought, i wonder if we jump too quick sometimes. Its funny. The show this season abbys message is about positivity and, you know, trying to make the best of whatever situation youre in. Then a woman comes up to her at split con, they have divorce conventions now. Like marriage conventions, they have conventions. Shes, like, i know, i read your book and i did this and i just got divorced. It was just too much work. At the end of the day its a last resort. Went in with sort of a euphoria in the first season. Now its getting real. In the reality divorce when it ends, its not really the end of the experience. Right. You may be in therapy with your kids for another two years. Right. You may be in court for a very long time too. You really should give your marriage everything that you can. Dont give up. Just do everything possible, and then if it has to end, at least you dont have to look back and say i wish i could have, what if we have to go, but you also say dont start dating too soon or youll make the same mistakes.
