Tonight, two teens arrested for the murder of a child. Miamidade Police Announcing this afternoon a 17yearold and 18yearold charged with Second Degree murder. Reporter the two people they arrested exchanged gunfire with a person identified as ju ju. The two suspects had a beef with them because of a dispute on social media. Years old got caught in the cross fire. Our community does not tolerate these senseless killings of our children. Reporter Miamidade Police director ramirez says two people are charged with taking the life of 6yearold king carter. Im happy they turned themselves in. Im happy the police didnt have to do no massive stand downs and breaking in nobodys houses and im glad they themselves in. Reporter the suspect is a 17yearold on probation for strong armed battery and wears a gps on his ankle. And 18yearold leonard adams. They were both transported to jail. It was a team effort. It was cooperation and support from the community and police work. Reporter presley and adams went to the childs apartment purpose of killing a person identified as juju after a dispute on social media. They exchanged gunfire and fled after adams was shot in the neck. King carter, who was walking through the parking lot to buy candy was hit in the chest sunday afternoon by a stray bullet and died. It was over some type of beef. Reporter ramirez was asked if the beef was over a girl. It started a fuel of hatred. Reporter the two were arrested after search warrants were executed. Police found a 9millimeter handgun used at presleys home. Presley confused and adams gave in the crime. Reporter we spoke to someone from the faa a few minutes ago who told me the pilot was running low on fuel and did an amazing job putting the plane down here in this residential neighborhood. We are told by the faa this happened around 4 15 as that plane was making a short approach into North Perry Airport which is a little bit south of where we are standing. We are told that that pilot, neighborhood, did an amazing job dealing with difficult winds out here. And was able to put the plane down. When the pilot came out of the plane we are told he gave a thumbs up showing he was okay. The word out here at this point is gratitude for this pilot and being able to skillfully land the plane and minimize any type of damage in this area. Thank you very much.
