Now, as you mentioned, i did speak to the owner. He was too upset to speak on camera. He told me he was thankful his employees made it out. A quick moving fire tore through the big and deal super time. One of them explaining to investigators what they saw. They were finishing up for the night. He said he saw some smoke so he grabbed a fire extinguisher to fight the fire. Nothing could be done. When tampa firefighters arrived they say smoke and flames were pouring from the building. Due to safety concerns, firefighters were forced to stay outside and attack the flames of this threealarm fire with two aerial units. The building totally gutted. I didnkn store customers shocked to find all of this this morning. Their thoughts with the store owners and those workers who made it out. As long as nobody is hurt, thats all that matters. You can rebuild and replace the store. Reporter the fire marshal will be out this morning to assess the damage and try to determine an exact cause.
