First tonight a loud bang resulting in a home burned to ashes. Good evening everyone, im joy lim nakrin. And im blair miller. Firefighters rushed into that home in taunton that now sits in a pile of ash and rubble. Tonight fox 25s ted daniels live in taunton where neighbors say it came out of nowhere, ted . Reporter the explosion was felt blocks away, joy and blair, within about 15 minutes the fire was through the roof already past the point of no return. The homeowner lost everything but her life. Reporter a image we pulled from google maps shows 40 christine lane before it disappeared in a ball of angry orange flames. Fire pours through every door and window of the two story colonial. Reporter with fox 25 they have never been so close to something so intense. The only thing it was like. Reporter paul heard an explosion before the fire. Steve roberts was a few houses down on the same street. He felt it. Something jolted the house i heard a noise. Reporter a woman believed to be in the 50s lived alone in the home. Steve says he saw her outside somehow she managed to make it out unharmed. Definitely his ter call. She mattered out okay. She wasnt hurt. She was in the house at the time. Est definitelily she was upstairs on the second floor from what im told. Reporter fire investigators have not released the cause of the explosion and fire. But they suspect it involves natural gas. Its a miracle that the operator wasnt hurt more seriously, anybody in the store wasnt hurt more seriously and pedestrians. Reporter police and fire investigate an afternoon a Dunkin Donuts in the town center. I never seen anything like this. I had was conscious when the officers i arrived. Reporter police say a 52yearold canton woman was alone in the s. U. V. When she crossed over traffic on washington street coming from nearby mechanic street. Fox 25 cameras rolling as her family came to the scene less than an hour after it happened. We see a ton where someone hits the gas instead of a brake and that kind of thing . Preliminary investigations are indicating that. One of the Dunkin Donuts employees is caught up all around his head. And i guess the person in the car came out all right. Reporter firefighters were helping tim greffin when the call came in. Two people including the drive and dunk ain donuts employee were transported to the hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries. Two customers standing in the store were not seriously injured. I was sitting right there they come to me and then, you know, this happens two seconds late sorry thank god they were right around the corner, you know, otherwise you never know if you wait too long something bad will happen. Reporter certainly a close call again and i can tell you that this is still a very active investigation. I did speak with people who knew that employee that were injured in this crash. Theyre certainly very concerned they did not want to be interviewed but they were thankful that we did ask about this person. Now, again, coming up at 11 00 were going to hear more from that story from tim griffin who is just down the street 7eleven getting help, firefighters heard that call and were able to respond to this accident very quickly. The sentinel is reporting that the crash happened on water street near beemas road. Police say the crash was between an s. U. V. And a car. Firefighters say that despite pulling the victim out alive from that car the person later died from their injuries. The victims name is being withheld right now until next of kin can be notified. The cause of this crash is under investigation. Tonight we now know the name of the woman found dead in her millbury apartment after a fire. Flames broke out at this building last night. Officials say 56yearold Deborah Mcnamara was found unresponsive while fire burned inside her apartment. The medical examiner is working to determine what went wrong. That fire is not considered suspicious. Tonight the ntsb continues to investigate what caused the plane to crash moments after takeoff and kill the pilot. Ntsb crews moved the plane from the crash site to examine the engine. 66yearold gary weller of putnam, connecticut was flying that plane. He was a den tivity and according to his business website he was once a professional pilot who flew for Eastern Airlines and u. S. Airways. Weller was flying a plane similar to one that crashed yesterday morning. This one here. A witness working nearby says it dropped pretty quickly. A little plane kind of just came up over the trees it turned sideways almost completely over and then just plummeted straight down. Ntsb Officials Say they will release a preliminary report within 10 days. A hyde park woman is due in Court Tomorrow accused of killing her uncle. Two women from london derry were thind car when it rolled onto its roof. 20yearold Suzanne Darcy was killed and 22yearold kelsey is still in the hospital. Investigators are also looking into exactly what caused that crash. Meanwhile police have identified the cyclist killed by a driver in east ham. Fox 25 learned this morning 61yearold maury sutton was hit and killed on route 6 friday night. Her daughter says she was just on her way to work at the time. The driver is a 21yearold woman from brewster. She did stop at the scene. The investigation is ongoing tonight. Meanwhile the search continues for the suspect in a stabbing in cambridge. This happened friday night near the North Cambridge Catholic Cemetery on wren street. Police say a 27yearold boston man was on his way to meet to a woman who he talked to on facebook thats when two men walked up tried to rob him and allegedly stabbed him. Thankfully that victim is expected to be okay. But youre asked to contact Cambridge Police if you can help solve the crime. Police report he pushed woment to the ground attempted to grab her purse and when she resisted he pulled out a knife threatening to kill her. A bizarre car chase beginning in foxborough ends with the arrest of a worcester man. 28yearold stephen clarken was pull over for speeding. He gave police a fake name said he didnt have his license but then drove off when the officer walked away. He lost control of his car in sharon then ran into the woods when police eventually founded him he shouted at them to shoot them. Offers subdued him using a taser gun and took him into custody. Police in attleboro making an arrest in a Dunkin Donuts breakin. Timothy brown was arrested. Brown was wanted on six warrants. Police believe he broke into the Dunkin Donuts on main street in attleboro twice in february. Hes due in Court Tomorrow.
