He is fighting the u. S. Army reserve, to cover the cost of his medical bills after suffering a heart attack during a required test. That soldier tells fox 25s ted daniel the army does not want the pay up because the heart attack did not happen on battlefield. The father of two from milford, New Hampshire, suffered a heart attack during a required physical fitness test at fort devons. It was his first p. T. Exam in the army reserve, before that, he had been active duty army for ten years. This past year has been as thats because shane and his wife, jamie, feel like the army reserve has left them out in the cold. Shanes heart attack was initially ruled by his own unit as happening in the line of duty. But, that ruling has been overturned by higher ups who determined shanes heart attack was inevitable. Shane said the only medical evidence suggesting heart trouble prior to was a blood test that showed border line high cholesterol months before.
