These disturbing images reveal the last moments of the life of Danvers High School teacher, Colleen Ritzer. Three years ago, her students, Phillip Chisholm, followed her into a bathroom where he raped and murdered colleen before disposing of her body in a recycling bin. The new Video Surveillance system at danvers high recorded these moments, and this is at the heart of a wrongful death filing against the town and the School Department as well as two other organizations. In the lawsuit colleens family is seeking answers, they want to know why no one was monitoring the Video Surveillance system at the time of the murder. And they want to know, why colleen was all alone in that wing of the brand new high school. The lawsuit is seeking damages but colleens family is asking that any money go not to themselves, but to enhancing security, or to nonprofits in colleens name. Tuesday afternoon, randall hackette went for a swim his soninlaw and wasnt seen until hours later whether a coast guard pulled him out of the ocean. For the fisheries time, were seeing the rescue of randall hackette, stranded in the ocean for if i have to hours, exhausted and cold, hes pulled up into the coast guard helicopter, his bare feet briefing hanging over the edge. No doubt, very grateful to finally be out of the water. Excited. The reporter lieutenant joshua rice is the pilot, who led the rescue mission off the coast of crane beach. It wasnt easy. The visibility tuesday night was close to zero. It was windy and the water temperature hovered just under 60 degrees. Initially, it was difficult, because like i said, there was a fog bank. The reporter rice says someone spotted hackette using someone using a forwardlooking infrared camera. Sure enough, it was him treading waterways his hands. Investigators say hackette and his soninlaw are experienced swimmers hand both were wearing wet suits. When the coast guard found the 58yearold, he was a quarter mile off shore hand two miles from where they went in. Rice says hell always remember the feeling of safely delivering hackette back to his family. Seeing his family run over and hug, yeah, we dont normally get to see that, but to see the interaction with family, like they were really excited to see him. We could see some tropical influence and that may surge in moisture as we head in late friday in to the weekend and that may produce some hefty totals across parts of our region.
