That just allows temperatures to drop more quickly during the evening hours and we are seeing that out there for sure. And off to the west, were seeing this too. Theres rain definitely, but i have want you to notice in the last three hours, since we started talking around 4 00 p. M. This afternoon, it was all rain the precipitation is and thats because of the storm and the air moves eastward, warm air goes up over the cold air, and produces precipitation that falls into the cold air, as snow. Were seeing it here as well. So front is like this. The snow to the east and north of it with the rain to the south and west, although theres mixing when you get into the elias elevations here in elevations in pennsylvania. Precipitation playing a part and it will here in new england too. We are not looking at a snowstorm on most ever in boston on thanksgiving is 4 1 2 inches. Were not looking like anything that way. But we are watching for some new sans precipitation in the morning. In my mind, theres no doubt there are going to be flurries tomorrow morning. That precipitation coming in from the west as light as it may be with the warm front in this cold air mass, has to produce snowflakes. Novelty flakes for most. Some places in the high elevations and maybe grassy coatings. Perhaps impacting your thanksgiving day Football Game with that grassy coat willing, what we will be watching for with the cold temperatures back here and they are going to continue to fall, for instance, north of worcester at wachusett going down into the 20s overnight tonight, staying dry as far as futurecast is concerned, but saying this too many times, its going to stay dry, particularly what were seeing out to the west of us. Temperatures getting down to freezing in boston, right at the water maybe a degree or two above freezing. Notice precipitation working in and whether it does, falling into this air mass, were talking about mainly inland. Light snow. I guess that. Were not talking about accumulating, shoveling out your driveway on thanksgiving kind of snow, but even futurecast shows nothing here, until you get up here, i expect that snow stripe will be farther south. It was last night on future cast, and for whatever purpose, it doesnt see it today. I still do. There will be light snow falling into worcester county. At the coast, likely be drizzle that will fall especially in eastern and southeastern massachusetts. That all pushes off to the north and southward toward late what i do agree were the futurecast is this. The rain moving in later in the day with a more potent part of the storm system coming at us. We see that to the west and well see it here. Heres the other part of this problem. Who have to the north and west, temperatures are only going to be in the upper 30s for highs hand theyll be falling as the rain falls in evening. Well have to watch for some icing here. Snow in ski country by the way for thanksgiving weekend. Heres sevenday forecast, takes you through that threat on thanksgiving, and another threat coming in to this weekend, something weve been well see rain and snow working its wave in here saturday and sunday, predominantly light and thats because the storm system is it making its way toward us, but too far out to sea to be a big player. What im watching to see if anything is going to form in this part of the pressure pattern. Thats a signal to me to watch it very closely, if it forms closer, wed have to deal with more ramifications from that storm system. Lots to look at and talk about and well keep talking through evening on the newscast. Mark saluting some american heroes. Time for holidays, but first, lets send it out to Butch Stearns. Butch .
