The latest from the Hurricane Center has it maintaining its northwest through the bahamas and very close to the florida coastline. This is the brandnew track, the 5 00 update which is a little bit closer now to east coast of florida. Perhaps make landfall right around cape canaveral. Daytona beach, sometime on midday friday, friday afternoon. And then from there, it does begin to live northeast, holding on to category iv strength. Gonna be devastating along i95, theres no way to get around that with the red line, the track of the storm so close, with 130 mile he kind of chewing up the eastern seaboard here of florida, during the day on friday, and friday evening. From there, it does begin to parallel the georgia and South Carolina coastline and then it is going to loop back around to the south and weaken but never make it north of north carolina, so there you go, thats the brandnew forecast track from the Hurricane Center. Awful scenario set up for the east coast of florida. Theres no real other way to spin this. The numbers go down from a 4 down to a 1. So it will weaken as it coastline and then loop back around. It means new england dodges a bullet. Theres no significant weather expected with matthew at anytime. Temps at this time, 50s and 60s, boston at 58. Worcester at 62. Fitchburg at 67. High pressure is across maine, and its set up to northeast winds. Thats why weve got clouds on the cape as well as the south coast. Farther west the air is dry back through portions of pennsylvania and new york, and will hold on to that dry weather. Tonight, mostly clear, patchy fog. And again as we move down the road, were thinking a northeast wind keeps the air somewhat moist with clouds. But i think they will break apart as we step through later on this evening and overnight tonight. Temps tomorrow, mostly sunny and pleasant. Coolest along the coastline. 66 to 72. So its a nice day tomorrow. Friday is another nice day with lots of sunshine, pleasant on friday. Femps tomorrow and friday between 71 and 74. Topsfield fair going on. Area running low to mid70s thursday and friday. On to the Holiday Weekend, again, High Pressure is with us to start on saturday. But there will be clouds on the increase saturday afternoon, from a cool front that moves across pennsylvania and the front sweeps through new england saturday night. Some of this moisture right here is actually being drawn out the hurricane but thats all were gonna do in terms of getting any effects from the hurricane. Just look at the spotty shower activity saturday evening. So theres no washout, theres no concern at all of clouds and sunshine. See you in a few minutes. Thanks so much, jr.
