A woman out for a walk on the street in rockport, suddenly attacked. She was taken from behind. Knocked to the ground. Reporter rockports police chief says it happened wednesday night just after 9 00 on pools lane. The victim, a woman in her early 50s. The individual did grab at her khloeing. There was no Sexual Assault involved in this attack. It was strictly an assault and battery on her. She received some scrapes from hitting the ground. And she was shaken. It makes you s somebody else. Reporter someone heard the womans screams and called 911. The alleged attacker got away. Police have picked this man out of Surveillance Video from a nearby store. The individual matches the description to a degree that was provided by the victim. And was seen in the area following similar paths of travel that the victim walked during this incident. Cameras can catch him. You know, i mean, hope there is justice. Reporter now they try to bring this case to a close. This is an incident that is uncommon in our community. It is something obviously, we dont tolerate. We are seeking the communitys help. Reporter the man in those photos is a person of interest at this point. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police. We are live in rockport, 7 news. Mississippi are searching for a killer. Two nuns are found stabbed to death inside their home. One of them, a massachusetts native. Police found the bodies of the two nuns on thursday. Officers say there were signs of a breakin, and the nuns car was missing. That car was found late thursday about an hour from their home. Those close to victims say they are shocked by the news. They were loved by everyone. Here in lexington and also in durant. Such a senseless homicide. They came here to mississippi to outreach to the poor, using their medical services. Sarah both nuns were nurse practitioners. The clinic where they worked will be closed today allowing coworkers time to grieve. Again, one of those nuns is a native of stoneham. Nicole oliverio spoke with her sister who is heartbroken. A Mississippi Community devastated over the brutal murder of two catholic nuns that pain reaching right here in massachusetts. One of the victims, sister paula grew up in stoneham where her sister and other family members still live. She was a wonderful, wonderful human being. She worked very hard for the people who needed help. Reporter she and sister margaret worked in a mississippi clinic. Seen here in one of their you tube videos. And uninsured patients get the medicine they needed. They would administer flu and insulin shots. Sister paula moved down south more than 30 years ago when she felt her calling. She had a wonderful impact on the people. Every year, they used to do backpacks for the schoolkids. They would have a little raffle. Rorpt when the nuns didnt show up to work, police went to the home they shared. Officers found women murdered from an apparent stack. They need the prayers more than we do at this point in time. Reporter her sister says she can only remain positive. She is up there. Reporter because of her faith in god. If i didnt believe that there was a reason and that there would be a greater good to come from this, it would be very difficult. Reporter rosemary is also devastated after speaking with the doctor at the clinic where her sister worked. State police say a pickup truck lost control early this morning and crashed near the ramp to 93 north. One occupant is dead. Two others are injured. Sarah police in michigan say a copilot of a plane was drunk and that his blood alcohol level was more than four times the legal limit to drive car. Police were tipped off by the captain of the plane who said it was clear that his copilot was intoxicated. At that point in time, the sergeant was able to detect a strong odor of intoxicant. Slurred speech. Blood shot, watery eyes. Tests were administered which indicated a level of intoxication. Sarah police have not released the name of the suspect. He is from florida and will be arraigned next week. A boy is recovering after being pulled from a chelmsford pool. This happened at a home on gorham street thursday afternoon. People pulled the fouryearold out of the pool after he went underwater. The child was flown to a boston hospital by helicopter. Anchor more news today. Two people facing serious charges in connection with a deadly stabbing in new police say a 21yearold luis rampial class was involved in the triple stabbing that left a 15yearold boy dead and two others wounded outside of a Housing Project on wednesday night. A 16yearold boy was also charged in connection with the crime. Police say the stabbing happened after a big fight broke out, involving a gang from a difference Housing Project. The two people who were wounded in the stabbing are expected to be okay. It appears that parents and school have the former student pay for his defense lawyer in a highprofile Sexual Assault case. According to the globe and documents filed in the victims lawsuit against st. Pauls prep school, parents chipped in more than 100,000 for owen la bries defensela. Uvm has canceled the Upcoming Season because of that states controversial new transgender bathroom law. The university of vermonts Athletic Department is calling foul on a controversial North Carolina law. We felt like it was, it was pretty stark in terms of its contrast to our values of the department and as a university. Reporter the department canceled a womans back game against the university of North Carolina. Our feeling was that this against transgender community. Report t law passed there earlier this year. It restricts transgender people from using public bathrooms based on their gender identity. The uvm Athletic Director says the decision to cancel the game came after conversations with the University Staff and athlete. Our student athletes are a sensitive group. They understand the values. They chose to come to the university of vermont for a reason. So i think they understood. Reporter the school out of state. But in the end, decided to cancel it. It is a move the Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin applauded.
