By letting his younger brother start in his place during tonights basketball game. Game. 18yearold nathan moore was a senior at greer high. And starter on the varsity basketball team. Team. Tonight. School Officials Say they will honor moore by letting his younger brother kyle a sophomore start in his place during tonights game at blue ridge. Were told a tribute will also likely take place at halfcourt before the game. Game. Moore was found dead at his home on tuesday. The coroner says autopsy results did not reveal a definitive cause of death. But foul play is not expected. Results of a more indepth examination and toxicology results are pending. 3 in Spartanburg County deputies say a man has been charged with several sex offenses. And hes being investigated by the fbi. Fbi. William johnson is facing four counts of criminal Sexual Conduct with a minor in the first degreeand four counts of engaging a child under 18 for sexual performances. Warrants state the crimes were committed from 2007 to 2012. Deputies say the case since mid december with the help of the fbi. Johnson was arrested monday and deputies say he later confessed to the allegations. Deputies say theyre continuing to work with the victims and potential victims. 3 were getting updates on two murder cases out of Anderson Countythe suspects involved in both h cases went before a judge this morning to make an appeal for the judge to grant bond. Bond. Only Fox Carolinas cameras were rolling as brothers oscar and jacob lance appeared in court. Each charged with murder, burglary, and arson. Family members spoke out. Saying the brothers couldnt have committed the crimes theyre accused of. But the judge ordered that they stay locked up. 3 the brothers are accused of beating todd cantlay to death. Then setting him on fire. While cantlays teenage son was sleeping. Sleeping. Investigators say the 17yearold woke up to the smell of smoke. And found his burning inside their home. Deputies say the boy put out the fire before calling 911 during the Early Morning hours of november 13th. But this morning in court. Loved ones said the brothers arent capable of such a heinous crime 3 3 this is not in his heart to do this. My eight year old granddaughter, when she found out what happened, my eight year old granddaughter said, grandma, i know he didnt do this. this. i just want him to be able to take care of his baby. She had to fight for life and i just want jake to be able to come home. cries cries 3 the coroner says cantlay was beaten to death, stabbed numerous times in the neck and head, and that he suffered seconddegree burns from the fire. Oscar lances Attorney Says the murder was a result of a marijuana deal gone bad. 3 a buncombe county triple murder suspect will have to wait longer before facing a judge. Judge. Accused killerpierre griffinwas due in court today according to court continuance and will appear in Buncombe County Court febuary 23rd. Griffin faces three counts of murderalong with a list of other charges. He is accused of shooting and killing three different people last year. Alexander king, tatianna diz, and uhon johnson 3 king and diz were missing for a little more than a week. Asheville police say the women were picked up griffin back on october 27th. They say he drove to a remote location before they were killed. Warrants state their car was found on craven street the following day with blood and bullet holes inside. Inside. And heres a look at the scene at the french broad riverwhere crews searched for over a week before they pulled king and diz out of the river. 3 griffin is also charged with the murder of uhon johnson. Police say the same night the women dissappeared. Griffin killed johnson, stole his suv then led deputies on a multi county chase ending on eye26 in buncombe county jail until his next court date. 3 an anderson woman is locked up this afternooncharged with her role in the attempted murder of her estranged husband. But a second suspect remains on the run. Run. Deputies say Katlyn Gottbeheat turned herself in on tuesday. And is now charged with accessory after the fact to a felony. Shes being held on a 15thousand dollar bond. Bond. Meantime. Deputies are still searching for this manclint moore. Moore. The shooting happened on november 24th at the la pour house bar ; grill. Investigators say moore shot the victim at pointblank range. And that gottbeheat helped him by driving him from the crime scene. Scene.
