It took more than 38 negotiating sessions. In there. We consulted a great deal with our advisory committees our private sector advisory committees. To make sure that it reflected the sort of priorities and strategic objectives we have in agriculture and so i think weve done a great job and i think a lot of people in Rural America will come to the same conclusion. Not all of Rural Americans are on board. The National Farmers union came out against tpp. They say there are some countries that have snapback provisions. Which says if a country thinks its industry is being harmed. They can replace the tariffs. Since our corn prices are going down, our Soybean Prices are going down, our live cattle prices are going down and now we have a trade agreement with no currency manipulation and these snap back provisions it is going to harm family farmers and ranchers and cause us to import more and decrease our prices here in the united states. Currency manipulation. Or products from them cheaper. And products from the us more expensive. Is the other major issue the nfu and other ag leaders have with the trade deal. Last week the American Farm bureau voted to support tpp. Their Economist Says currency manipulation is too vague to dismiss the whole deal. I think currency manipulation can be really difficult to document and prove. In that respect, its difficult to create concrete guidelines that you can fall back on in any situation to definitely identify currency manipulation or provide remediation for it. So currency manipulation is kind of a tough thing i think to concretely work into these kind of trade deals.
