Fazzino claims her death was a suicide, triggered by an addiction to prescription meds. Both sides agree emily did have a previous addiction. But the state is trying to show she was on the path to recovery. They argue there were no traces of opiates found in her blood following the death. Theyll also try to show she was planning to leave her husband after police were called to their home just a week before she died. Then in january and february the weather changed to more average thats not very typical for the el nino event in iowa, state climatologist Harry Hillaker says there really isnt another year this one could be compared to. The closest he found was another strong el nino event back in 1982. That had a fully mild winter; a cool, wet spring; and then a hot, dry summer. Looking into spring of 2016, hillaker says its hard to predict with confidence. In terms of temperatures there are just historical tendencies. He says, very often, the Spring Season has been on the warmer side of usual maybe 6065 percent of the time and the summer months, much warmer more often yet than that.
