Its the site where the microburst touched down. Scientists say it sent up to 70 mile per hour winds in of damage here. Several workers were on site when that happened but thankfully no one was hurt. Meanwhile were also hearing accounts today from those who witnessed the ef0 tornado in columbia. The National Weather service concluded it struck north of the State Farmers Market not far m where i26 and i77 meet. Mark creighton says he was able to get some video of the tornado as it moved through shooting it from right outside of where he works on kelsey court. He says there was bands of rain coming in when the tornado passed by. It just looked like a dark cloud. Kind of started with a small v and it just kind of kept growing and moving so after a while it started looking like a tornado. I didnt know, i really didnt know. Meteorologists also concluded the ef0 had wind speeds of at least 60 mph. Getting back to the microburst here in leesville the damage it left behind was still clear today. At some points there was still trees on the logging companys property. A tractor trailer here on site was also knocked over. Senator larry martin is pushing a bill that would require a judges permission for Law Enforcement agencies not to release dashcam video to the public. Martin says it would instill more confidence in police decisions. The bill would prevent police from indefinitely blocking the publics ability to see dascham videounless a judge agrees that releasing the video would cause harm. With only a few weeks to go before the South Carolina democratic primarysenator Bernie Sanders is picking up some big endorsements from the state establishment. Former state Democratic Party chairman Dick Harpootlian has announced hes throwing his support behind sanders instead of hillary clinton.
