On the other side of the aisle, volunteers for Hillary Clinton are ramping up efforts democratic primary on the 27th. Its super crazy with the people doing different things. We have more phones to call, more doors to knock, and its very hectic right now. The Campaign Says its been here since last april, has built a grassroots infrastructure of thousands of volunteers, and now has a dozen get out the vote state, including this one in columbia. I think that our job is important, because were out, and were closest to the community, and were the people who are kind of being hillarys voice, because she cant speak to everyone. Across town on gervais street, the Ted Cruz Campaign is also depending on thousands of volunteers to get out the vote in the republican primary. We have almost 10,000 volunteers. Were here right now in one of our midlands headquarters. We have one here and then one over on calhoun street. We usually have about 10 to 20 folks in office usually makes about 5,000 volunteer phone calls a day. Now that New Hampshire is just about in the rear view mirror, activity is picking up in this office. Volunteers are hoping to help close the gap between trump and cruz in the palmetto state. Meet charlie the red kangaroo for about a year, charlie has served as a therapy animal at william e. Christoffersen Veterans Home. Donald trump secured just over 35 percent of votes to come in first place while john kasich secured almost 16 percent of votes to come in second place. Meanwhile on the democratic side, Bernie Sanders soared to a victory by gaining 60 percent of votes. Hillary clinton got almost 39 percent of votes in New Hampshire to come in second place.
