Stretch of campaigning for the republican president ial candidates with just one day to go before the South Carolina primary. Will be scattered across the state today. The only candidates with scheduled stops in the midlands are john kasich and rubio is scheduled to stop by the Marriott Hotel in downtown columbia at 9 this morning. Kasich is expected to be at a town hall at senates end at 10. The other four candidates will have events focused on the upstate and the coast. Three of the candidates took part in the second cnn town hall last night, taking questions from South Carolina voters right here in the capital city. Karin caifa has more on the candidate who dominated the days headlines took the stage. Donald trump has sparred with nearly this president ial race. And just hours before taking the stage for the town the university of South Carolina, he was hit on his immigration policy by pope francis. Francis, on his way back to rome following a visit to mexico was asked about trumps plan to build a wall between the us and mexico. The pontiff said to just build walls and not bridges is unchristian. Trump early on called that comment, disgraceful. But heres what trump had to say later and jeb bush, when asked to weigh in. Haley said her choice is not based on whether a candidate can win but how they can potentially change the country. With a little more than a week before South Carolinas democratic primary a big endorsement could soon be coming for Hillary Clinton. A source close to congressman James Clyburn says he will be publicly endorsing clinton over her rival Bernie Sanders. Clyburn is the highest ranking democrat in South Carolina. Last night clinton and sanders participated in a town hall hosted by msnbc in las vegas. The two candidates are in a dead heat in the polls. Just a day Democratic Caucus in nevada. Greg leon is charged with murder and attempted murder in connection to a shooting, sunday night in lexington county. The Coroners Office has not yet been able to positively identify the victim. Officials say he appears to have been in the country illegally and had assumed several identities while he was in South Carolina. A warrant states leons wife was in the back seat of a truck with the victim when the shots were fired. Leon turned himself in not long after the incident. The owner of a Midlands Estate sale company is also expected to have a bond hearing today. Tony hendon was booked in jail thursday on two felony counts of breach of trust. Hendon is the owner of columbiabased real estate guys, which has been the center of several civil lawsuits that accuse hendon of ripping them off after agreeing to conduct sales. One of his charges, if convicted, carries a five year prison sentencethe other, 10 years. Home for a child, left at school after an apparent murdersuicide. The six year old was not picked up from school wednesday. Deputies checked the childs home on amsterdam drive where they found the childs mother and her estranged husband both shot to death. Deputies say the shooting was the result of a domestic situation. Investigators are now working to determine what exactly led up to the shooting. Coming up. Before her nightmare began, the 28 yearold says she was serving as a designated driver for her friends the morning of october 4th. 05 04 12 i made sure everyone got home. And i was going home and i was five minutes from my house. And then out of nowhere a wall of water just came out of nowhere and picked my car up like a little raft and turned it around no i didnt. It was complete shock. I couldnt see, it was dark. I didnt know exactly what was happening. Try to put down your emergency break, try to reverse. Nothing was working. I hit two trees, and i grabbed on to another one now, in cold roaring waters, and black of night, erika fought for 05 11 35 i was yelling. It was nonstop yelling for me. About three and half 4 hours.
