It is draining off right now, but heavy rains do continue. People are surprised to see how high the water was as they drive through here. As you have been saying, use caution. A lot of these gutters are clogged up and not a lot of room for it to go right now, so use caution if youre heading out. Joyce thank you. This is here because of an overflowing spring. They are trying to move it to the north. As of now, the school is dry. That is the good news. Again, throughout the evening, officers will be going door to door to let people know their house could be affected and they might want to stay somewhere as for the night. This isnt the first time this area has flooded. Very frustrating. To go through this again, i just prayed this is the last time we do it. Has been three in the last 10 years. Pretty frustrated there. They still have the sandbags and back. The rain is still coming down, and you can see the water surrounding the playground equipment here. The school did how to close early at about 1 00 this afternoon due to the flash flooding. Firefighters and volunteers placed sandbags around the building. I spoke with the police chief. He says they expect to have classes here tomorrow, but they much more rain they get. At this were going to point, continue sandbagging and have extra sandbags made up just in case, and we are going to be monitoring the situation at both school and throughout the city throughout the evening. She was talking about how they actually have tried to do that diversion water away from the schools in the past. It failed, so they are hoping that will not be the case this year. Flooding also forced campers in Richland Center in southwestern wisconsin to evacuate. The area there is under a Flood Warning while residents sandbag. The flooding also closed roads and cancelled classes at some schools in that community. The area has seen more than seven inches of rain so far. The heavy rain in Richland County also caused mudslides. This mudslide washed rocks and debris onto county highway d. Clear off the roads. The sheriffs attorney said its a moot point because clarke was going to take the fence down anyway. There was no attempt to take down the fence that night. The next morning, the sheriff did nothing. Under the proposal, the sales tax would be waived on School Supplies, computers costing less than 750, and on clothes less than 75 each. The sales tax holiday is part of the governors two year budget there is an incredible advantage to have that sales tax holiday to make it affordable for families to get those items. Joyce the holiday if it gets legislative approval as expected would be the first weekend in august next year and again in 2018. After that, the legislature would have to vote to continue it. This is where you will get slammed. In franksville, caledonia, wind point, this is that wall of water that will move in, a quick inch of rain in half an hour. To cause a lot of street flooding. Be prepared for that. The bigger picture, this is why it is so much nicer to see very little happening out here. This is the main event. Everything is happening right now. We have steady rain right here. That is not the flooding kind of rain. We had that earlier in our northern counties, but now the focus is on her southern counties.
