It has been 15years since the september 11 terror attacks. Nearly 3,000 people were killed at the World Trade Center site and in pennsylvania. More than 6,000 people were hurt. Organizers say holding this blood drive is one way to show support for local first responders. Local firefighters, police officers, and crews from flight for life helped people sign up to donate oo anyone who makes an appointment to donate at the blood center of wisconsin between now and september 16 can get a special commemorative tshirt. This is the debut weekend for karen bondarchuks exhibit, ergo sum a crow a day, at the Woodson Art Museum in wausau. Bondarchuk drew one crow a day for a whole year to mark the days her mother no longer remembers because of dementia. Became a kind of therapy for her. I really had to work through the grief of losing my mother gradually, over time, and shes still with us, but shes not anymore. There is history here for me, of hers. The significance of that beam, knowing that its authentic, and that it came from the World Trade Center<\/a>, its very valuable to me. Christina the beam will soon be part of a remembrance site in kewaskum, inspired by the death of andrea haberman. She was a 25yearold from west bend who died in the north tower during a business trip to new york. It turns out we were 2 young women, the same age, 25, at the knew each other in life. Christina jessica was living in new york at the time, and offered to help search for andrea in the weeks following 9 11. She has since become very close to andreas family. This is her stat sheet here, and this is actually 15yearsold. I printed out copies of this stat sheet. Christina tragically, andrea and thousands of other innocent souls were never found alive. This is the debut weekend for karen bondarchuks exhibit, ergo sum a crow a day, at the Woodson Art Museum<\/a> in wausau. Bondarchuk drew one crow a day for a whole year to mark the remembers because of dementia. Bondarchuk says the project became a kind of therapy for her. I really had to work through the grief of losing my mother gradually, over time, and shes still with us, but shes not anymore. There is history here for me of hers. Theres history of my own here of growing up with her as my mother. I wish my mother could see this work. Christina jessica was living in new york at the time, and offered to help search for andrea in the weeks following 9 11. She has since become very close to andreas family.
