The storms they came and went fast but they did drop quite a bit of rain for some. We begin tonight in the storm center. When it rains it pours but not for everyone. Some communities got quite a bit of rain others not so much. Meteorologist tom wachs is in the storm Center Tonight with the tstorms will move out overnight with skies eventually clearing. Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s to around 60 by sunrise. Partly sunny and quiet on tuesday with a high around 80. Thunderstorm chances return overnight tuesday and into wednesday. No major damage was reported but there were reports of tree limbs being knocked down. Those storms in dane county also dropped quite a bit of hail. Investigators say the mother subjected her baby to medical tests tests the child didnt need. Fox6s bret lemoine is here in the studio believes this could be a case of munchausen by proxy. Where a parent exaggerates or makes up illnesses about their child. According to this criminal complaint filed in june, investigators say 24year old Kiara Patterson took her infant to four different hospitals and urgent care facilities a total of 21 times since birth. Police say there were 6 Office Visits with the childs physician, 4 hospitalizations to Childrens Hospital of wisconsin. West allis memorial. And consultation with a neurology specialist. Each time the mother claiming the baby was ill. According to the infants medical records, police say patterson claimed the child had umbilical Hernia Surgery but theres no record of any surgical procedure. Police say patterson claimed doctors told her to dilute the babys formula but again, investigators say theres no record of that. Patterson also claimed the baby had a fever at each hospital visit. But police say the child never had a temperature over a 100degrees. Child had cancer. But investigators say that wasnt true either. In fact, according to the criminal complaint, many of the tests and medical procedures that the infant was exposed to were invasive, painful and exposed the baby to radiation. The child was also allegedly given medication that may not have been necessary, prompting the da to charge patterson with one count of physical abuse of a child. We stopped by pattersons home this afternoon. The woman who answered the contact pattersons lawyer. Her lawyer said our deadline on this story was too soon. And declined to comment. Pattersons trial is expected to begin in two weeks. An offduty Milwaukee Police officer is arrested for drunk driving and accused of rear ending a squad car. Mpd confirms it happened saturday afternoon near 76th and florist. The squad car was stopped at an intersection when it was hit from behind. The driver turned out to be a 48year old woman whos been an officer with mpd for 22 neighbors of the officer says the incident doesnt fit her character. Very kindhearted, her children come first her family comes first. As neighbors, i grew up with her she is like a mom to me. Butted with she still is a person on the other side of her job. She knew she did wrong even though she is s Police Officer she works at district four. Her name is not being released at this time. The officer in the squad that was struck was taken to the hospital for minor injuries the man who pleaded guilty to a fatal hit and run in Washington County learns his fate. Today a judge sentenced Adam Newhouse neuhaus to 2andahalf years in prison plus 5years of extended supervision. Last august he hit and killed 50year old Keith Habenicht while he was riding his bike in germantown. Neuhaus caught on surveillance video. The night of the crash witnesses claim they saw neuhaus leaving a bar just before it happened. Milwaukee Police Investigating a crash near 27th and college this afternoon where a car ended up on its roof. Were told the car hit and tree and rolled just before five tonight. The driver was taken to Froedtert Hospital but no word on his or her condition. A Waukesha Bank robber learns his fate in court today. A judge sentenced a robbing the associated bank on sunset drive last february. No one was hurt during the robbery, but police say keota and another man Jason Barnhill got away with 10 thousand dollars. Barnhill was sentenced in june to 8years in prison. The man suspected in saturdays bombings in new york and new jersey is now in custody after a frantic manhunt and intense shootout. And tonight hes facing kill Police Officers. He was taken into custody this morning following a shootout with police in new jersey. Two Police Officers were shot but both are expected to be okay. He was wanted in connection with several explosions in new york and new jersey this weekend. Tonight were hearing from the bar owner who called police after spotting the suspect sleeping the first cop pulls in, he just looks at him. Hes still sleeping, you know his hoodie is pulled over his head and then when the second cop pulled in and he just woke him up and right away he went to his left side and pulled i think, i;m sure a gun. Law enforcement is still looking into a motive rahami reportedly wasnt on any terror or nofly watch lists. Right now police say they arent conversation, but its an important one to have.
