The teen was caught on camera attacking a Racine County correctional officer. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity. The sheriff family says there was more to the violence. Her son, 17yearold Deonte Anderson may soon be out of the Racine County jail. Anderson has been an inmate there for months. He was charged with armed robberythen anderson was seen attacking a correctional officer. it just underscores how dangerous and important of a job these officers face each and everyday. Last thursday, a judge ruled anderson was not guilty by reason of insanity. His mother says hes been dealing with Mental Illness for some time. Bipolar schizophrenic, homicidal, suicidal, he talks to himself. Or has friends that no one else knows. She claims his attack on they were making his condition and his problem even worse behind closed doors. But the Racine County sheriff tells fox 6 in a statement he is. Not aware of any allegations of abuse. Should there be an allegation we will investigate. Adding it is not uncommon for inmates to complain to their loved ones with false allegations of abuse. This mother will continue to stand by her son. Now waiting for what will happen to him next. The Racine County sheriff says given the violent nature of the offense he has concerns about how quickly the ruling was made. The atf is offering a 10thouasnd dollar reward for tips that leads to the arrest of a bank arsonist. It happened during this summers unrest in sherman park. Fox6s bre of the suspects in question. Jl they will be brought to justice. . This is Surveillance Video released tuesday by Milwaukee Police from inside the Bmo Harris Bank that burned during the august unrest in sherman park. It was sparked by the Fatal Shooting of Sylville Smith by a Milwaukee Police officer. At least three people are seen in the banks lobby. Moments before arson takes place. Jl its with this newly released video, assistant special agent in charge joel lee is reminding the public that the atf is offering 10 thousand dollars to anyone who helps crack this case. Lee says the atf is the branch responsible for investigating all seven commercial fires set during the unrest. Jl this reward is for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible. lee says atf agents are working every day to slv were arrested during and after the unrest. But officials are still looking to identify others. They just need your help. Jl we need to know who these people are. 1point2 Million Dollars in damages occurred just at that bank. Been arrested for the death of a toddler whose remains were found in a lagoon last september. Chicago police came to milwaukee looking for kamel harris about a year ago. They wanted to talk to him about the death of kieron kyrian knox. The toddler was in harris care when he disappeared. Now police say harris killed knox in rockford, illinois and disposed of his body in a lagoon in chicago. Harris was already in a Northern Illinois jail on unrelated the 5yearold milwaukee girl hit and killed on her way to church is laid to rest today. At the same time charges are filed against the Driver Police believe is responsible. Police say 30yearold Sherman Liddell hit 5yearold rickyia rickeyeuh langham and didnt stop. According to the criminal complaint he convinced his girlfriend to report her car as stolen so he wouldnt be blamed. But prosecutors say he eventually told his sister he not have been a criminal charge or at least not as serious as it is now. liddell has seven prior convictions of driving on suspended license. Dasseys conviction for his role in the murder of Teresa Halbach chronicled in the hit Netflix Docuseries making a murderer was thrown out. Monday a judge ordered he be released. The state is fighting back. In a motion filed tuesday afternoon by Wisconsin Attorney general brad schimel, hes asked to court to keep dassey locked up, until the states appeal can be heard in a process for dasseys release moves forward. His lawyers turned in what they are calling dasseys comprehensive release plan. Attorneys say dassey will live with his mother in a trailer for the next three months 100 miles away from manitowoc. Hell take educational classes and job training with the goal of working in the computers and video games industry. Lawyers say dassey would like to volunteer at an Animal Shelter and take Group Therapy with his family. Probation agents could approve his release plan as early as wednesday. Judge who determined dassey must be let go will change his mind. So, our cameras will be outside the prison in portage tomorrow. The state has asked their request to keep him locked up be decided by 4 pm. Dasseys uncle steven avery is serving a life sentence. Hes hoping a judge will hear his appeal. Guys. A serial carjacker will spend the next 41 years in prison. Police say Brandon Newson was just 17 years old when his he was charged with 7 carjackings affecting 10 victims in just a weeks time. Newson was released from Lincoln Hills juvenile corrections in february. These crimes were committed just three months later in may. Espn is reporting that the Milwaukee Bucks will no longer stay at hotels owned by president elect donald trump. Sources tell the network the bucks are among three nba teams to make the decision.
