A 31yearold man is dead after a confrontation with police. Fox6s Rachelle Baillon joins us live from the newsroom with the latest details. London officers were out on patrol when they spotted . The suspect. Police say the officers knew the 31yearold man. And that there was a warrant out for his arrest. Police say the officers then confronted the man. Thats when he pulled out a weapon. Police then shot him and he is now dead. Neighbors say they heard about six gunshots during the exchange. Police are not yet releasing the name of the man, nor are they yet identifying the officers involved. I was on the phone with my daughter and i heard six shots and i thought at first that it was maybe fireworks so i walked to my front door and i saw a Police Vehicle go by with the lights on rather fast. Police tell us that neither officer was injured during the incident. They also tell us the wisconsin dci will be handling the investigation. Investigators say 58yearold helmut winowski was shot and was attacking his girlfriend with a kitchen knife. The Washington County District Attorneys Office says the shooting was justified saying his actions likely prevented further injuries or death. That officer has since returned to duty. Morgan geyser now lives at the Winnebago Mental Health institution being treated for schizophrenia. Friday she pleads she is not guilty by reason of Mental Health or defect. Two psychiatrists will evaluate her for this plea. Anissa weier is in a juvenile Detention Center in west bend. She was allowed to have one wrist freed of handcuffs friday so she could take notes in court. They allegedly stabbed a friend 19 times, more than two years ago character. The friend survived. Even though the girls allegedly committed the crime at age 12, both girls previously lost an appeal and will be tried as adults. With all the years of publicity about this unusual case, can the girls get fair trials in Waukesha County . Their lawyers say no. As for morgan geyser, her attorney wants to move the entire trial. In the meantime the psychiatrists who will evaluate geyser moving forward in the trial, are new to her, and her lawyer is concerned that more than two years after the crime, with medication she is completely different. Theyre not getting the same picture of morgan that they would have gotten shortly after the event. The psychiatrist report will be done by the end of september start in march and april. Folks in this area near the Milwaukee Police district six Police Station are reacting wit concern. Upon learning a man was shot and killed, just outside the doors to district six. Friday, several southsiders say theyre surprised, not so much about what happened around seven thursday night. But where it mean, thats as bold as it can get according to Milwaukee Police, two, unidentified men, 52, and 65 yearsold, were sitting in a van in front of the district 6 Police Station, at 27th and kinnicinnic, when they got into an altercation with 42yearold reed carlsen, who was walking by. Police say the 65yearold drew a gun, then shot and killed carlsen. This is a witness video of First Responders trying to resuscitate him. Following the shooting, were told the 65yearold turned himself in, and surrendered the gun to Police Inside district six. A 34yearold man is recovering after being shot early th downtown milwaukee. It happened near old world third street and wells. Officials say there was a fight leading up to the shooting and the victim drove himself to 4th and kilbourn where he was able to flag down a passing squad car. He was then taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Police are searching for suspects. Elkhorn fire officials are investigating a Storage Facility fire from last night.
