The mother claims the child was sick. Doctors say the baby was perfectly healthy. Fox6s bret lemoine is here in the studio with new details. Prosecutors claim she took her four month old child to medical facilities nearly two dozen times since the baby was born. According to court records, a doctor made a referral to the Child Advocacy center regarding medical child abuse. Or symptoms of munchausen by proxy. Taking your infant to the emergency room can be one of the most stes but prosecutors allege 24year old Kiara Patterson was making frequent trips to the Doctors Office to harm and not heal. According to this criminal complaint filed in june, investigators say patterson took the fourmonth old to four different hospitals and urgent care facilities a total of 21 times since birth. Police say there were 6 Office Visits with the childs physician, 4 hospitalizations to childrens memorial. And other. As well as one consultation with a neurology specialist. Each time the mother claiming the baby was ill. According to the infants medical records, police say patterson claimed the child had umbilical Hernia Surgery but theres no record of any surgical procedure. Police say patterson claimed doctors told her to dilute the babys formula but again, investigators say theres no record of that. Patterson also claimed the baby had a fever at each hospital visit. But police say the child never had a temperature patterson told the childs father the baby had cancer. Investigators say no evidence of either points to being true. In fact, according to the criminal complaint, many of the tests and medical procedures that the infant was exposed to were invasive, painful and exposed the baby to radiation. The child was also allegedly given medication that may not have been necessary, prompting the da to charge patterson with one count of physical abuse of a child. Pattersons trial is scheduled to begin in two weeks. The patterson declined based on our deadline. We also stopped by pattersons house there was no comment. Four kids are hurt after a serious crash in sheboygan. It happened a little before 5 there near 8th street and pershing avenue. 2 cars collided. The four kids were all in one car and had to be taken to the hospital. No word how seriously they were hurt. A Milwaukee Police officer ends up on the wrong side of the law. As neighbors, i grew up with her she is like a mom to me but police say her alleged actions saturday were unlawful. We are told the off duty officer was supposedly drinking and driving when she rearended an mpd squad car while it was stopped at a red traffic light. The offduty officer with 22years experience was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Gasperetti says the police veteran made a mistake she regrets. She still is a person on the other side of her job. She knew though she is s Police Officer an officer and part of the Law Enforcement community who is expected to maintain a certain level of responsibility. I dont approve of people drinking and driving but some people should but things happen my heart goes out to her, my heart goes out to the Police Officer that was hurt too the officer who was in that vehicle struck, a 45year old man was taken to the hospital and officer arrested for operating while intoxicated, she was suspended from the department. Today a judge ordered adam neuhaus to serve 2 and a half years in prison plus 5years of last august he hit and killed 50year old Keith Habenicht while he was riding his bike in germantown.
