In may, officers Jesse Mattson and Jason Daering responded to a call of an Armed Robbery at an Oreilly Auto Parts store at 76th and mill. The two officers ordered one of the suspects, burt johnson, to drop his officers returned fire, killing him. One of the officer was hit by a bullet in his protective vest.
