Julie collins joins us live from the Sherman Park Lutheran Church good morning derica just 7 days ago and this neighborhood was a completely difference scene local businesses burned, the sounds of gunfire peppered the air and throngs of people took to the streets. Many looting while others began rallies chanting in the streets some through glass bottles and other objects at the police. Authorities were able to stem unrest over the next few days. And the community started to show signs of picking itself back up, with a goal of never letting similar scenes onto the citys streets again. Yesterday mayor barrett met with the owners of the businesses that were affected by last weekends unrest. And says the city plans to work with them in hopes of keeping their business in the community and employing workers from that area. Despite the violence this neighborhood has seen mayor barrett and other city and Community Leaders i drove over there sunday morning and was moved by the hundreds of people that were there saying we dont want this neighborhood ruined and youve seen that throughout this week. Mayor barrett says hes already focused on using the experience as a catalyst for positive change in the community. Thanks julie meanwhile the first charges are filed in connection to the unrest in sherman park. These three men and entering a locked building. They were charged friday. Theyre accused of breaking into clarks beer and liquor near 47th and burleigh early sunday morning. The owner of that store estimates vandals damaged and stole about 125thousand dollars worth of property. Another man arrested in connection to the unrest across Milwaukee County 19year old dale folley faces arson charges and 2 counts of bail jumping. According to this criminal complaint a call came in gathered at this south side pick n save with a car on fire. When Police Arrived they found a fully engulfed car on the north end of the parking lot. Police apprehended folley on 11th and pierce after he fled the scene. According to the criminal complaint he told police he ran because he saw 5 others set the car on fire and quote we wanted to do the same thing here that we did on sherman boulevard. folley appeared in court yesterday morning. There is new information about the Police Shooting in new london that left a suspect dead. Police have now identified the man shot and killed by officers as 31 year old kole knight of menasha. Investigators say two officers were on patrol friday afternoon, when they spotted a man with a warrant for him, they say he pulled out a weapon, and the officers opened fire. The names of the officers involved have not been released. The Wisconsin Department of justice is investigating. Storms that rolled through early yesterday morning caused some damage in northeast wisconsin. City Officials Say they saw Straight Line winds clocked at more than 50 miles per hour. It means a lot to help my kids out with supplies cause i have a few and sometimes money get s a little short and you need a little helping hand helping hands doled out 500 bookbags while vendors provided key resources. Its very important its tough out here for many families and to be able to get some of the simple things we take for granted is very important big smiles. To see people doing something for these kids amazing, i am so proud of the staff, the people who work here and put this on kids may be walking out with bookbags and supplies , but they are also leaving with Something Else to carry with them, a sense of positivity and support. Weve seen many group coming out to spread their message through music its a powerful thing. This milwaukee couple is trying to increase the peace hosting a concert and book bag giveaway, yesterday. The husband and wife duo of for weeks when violence erupted last week near sherman park. The increase peace event was meant to bring communities together and provide a safe environment for families. Demetrius brooks assembled a lineup of local artists to perform and promote peace in milwaukee. We were going to put together an Album Release Party but i took the funds and said lets increase the peace in our streets because all the senseless violen sense, kids walking home from school, sitting at home watching tv, they end up loosing their lives over the course of this year. Authorities say most of the People Killed are students and local traders who were at a nearby market and school at the time of the attack. Following the explosions attackers stormed the building and exchanged gunfire with security forces. The attack targeted a offices. And in turkey at least 30 people were killed and 94 others wounded in a suicide bombing attack at a wedding. It happened yesterday. The wedding took place on a street which is a common practice in the region, especially during the summer. As of now no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Down inside the residence that appeared to be obviously deceased. From there they made entry and checked the residence for any surviving victims and unfortunately they found four more victims inside the residence. A baby was found alive at the scene. The suspect is 27yearold derrick dearman. Dearman who knew at least one of the victims allegedly kidnapped a woman and a three month old baby from the scene of the crime and drove to in. Dearman will be charged with six counts of capital murder for the deaths of the five adults and the unborn child. In South Carolina a manhunt is underway for two escaped inmates one of them is a murder suspect. The two men escaped from the Union County Jail yesterday afternoon. One of the men, ashley tyler is a registered sex offender and is charged with the murder of his step mother last year. The other man, steven lipsey, is charged with posses meth. Police are using helicopters to search the area, and are advising people in the community to be vigilant it was raining money on one texas highway yesterday.
