Its another sign that things are improving, and also improving because there was a giant and completely peaceful rally that happened tonight. Tonight, thousands marched. Sending a message to the police and also politicians. They are facilitating the murders of black individuals are we going to stand for that . No this is about justice for the people of color. Found out later it was between two brothers, one of whom was insisting he go home and follow the curfew, the other do not want to, so i much better reason for a fight than what we saw last night. A total of 235 people have been arrested, that night and now. About 100 of them have been released. By law anyone held 48 hours without receiving charging documents has to be released. Alison tonight, united voices questioning the citys response to the crisis. A crowd of leaders and gang members are pressing for answers. That video of the woman pulling her son from the dangerous situation went viral, and michael said that his mother told him to go home from school, but he did not listen because of a friend. Now he realizes how lucky he is. I understand how much my mother loves me. So i just have to try to do better. There is a feeling of solidarity on the streets of the nations capital. Late tonight, hundreds of protesters with purpose and passion rallied from chinatown. They want to the wilson building, then to the white house. Some of them broke off and came here to the u street corridor. N, which came out of the unrest in missouri, they raise their voices in unison over the many issues that concern them police brutality, economic equality, just to name a few, and tonight they are calling for justice for baltimores freddie gray. At least 100 people were arrested, mostly for blocking the streets, but no reports of violence or injury. Leon in other news, Virginia State police have finished their investigation into the arrest of uva student martese johnson, who had a bloody head wound when arrested in charlottesville. That prompted protests in march. Now the findings of the investigation are in hands of the commonwealths attorney. They are not being made public at this time. He wants all to know the horrifying encounter that he says he had with 26yearold alexander soumbadze. He was walking by, passing out flyers. He stopped to talk to me. Jay andrew now 18, at the time was only 14. He said the karate instructor luredf him into his car, gave him drugs, and drove him around. He then met him on a subsequent day. He asked me if i wanted to do stuff with him in the karate studio. I said no right away. Jay he said he was dropped off miles from home. His family contacted the police but charges were never filed. Now Montgomery County are searching for soumdbadze, for possession and distribution of child pornography. They think that some of the young men could have been minors who were victimized.
