Heres a look at a special story we have coming up just in time for thanksgiving wednesday, a prankgiving event. Mario teams up with first Lady Michele Obama and ncis star michael wet early to pull off the Biggest Surprise ever. Hes almost here. Here we go. Only on extra. Welcome home. Riviera is the. Whats the latest youre seeing . Reporter were seeing authorities, police in riot gear, uniformed, equipped. Large crowds trying to once and for all clear the streets. One of the things were seeing is a lot fewer people on the street but still seeing fires burning. Were still hearing gunfire and were still seeing officers on the streets trying to clear us out and check our ids not letting people go into certain areas. Theres certainly still a number of hot spots in ferguson. And all this was set off, gloria, after that press conference that was held by Bob Mcculloch, the prosecutor, you were there when he was giving that press conference. What were some of reactions as you were sitting for him waiting for him what kind of stood out to you. He did a lot to try to explain why this happened and give his own opinions about even the media being involved in a role they played in some of these protests and unrest. Reporter thats exactly right. In fact, he took a moment to single out the media and one component that made it difficult for him to did his job and made it difficult for the grand jury to consider the evidence, the hard evidence he said the media passed on firsthand reports from witnesses that were then recanted by those witnesses, a different version of the story given but what struck me the most about his announcement was that he went back over and over again to the fact that the evidence would be made public and we know his office initially believed they needed to seek a judges okay to release the testimony, the evidence, remember, he said 60 witnesses and more, 70 hours of testimony, its hard to think of all of that being released but we were given hard copies, cds of the material to sift through after our team is doing and what stands out from there is officer wilsons testimony. That really had to be the first thing many people turned to to read what officer wilson had to say in his own defense when he testified for four hours in front of the grand jury without a defense attorney. And it comes down to a very detailed account of what happened that night and his belief that he had reason to believe his life was in danger, he, in fact, said those around him, he said he believed Michael Brown to be a threat that evening. Thats what gave him, he believes, reason to believe he was justified in using deadly force. Gloria riviera who was inside the courtroom and live in ferguson right now on the streets. Thank you very much for your reporting. Well be right back. So americans looking for ways to cut down the cost this holiday season. So hard. Its not easy. A lot of these goods sold in Outlets Stores are made for Outlet Stores and are of lesser quality. Reporter already 11 class action lawsuits, some claiming words such as compared to and market price on outlet tags are deceptive Business Practices when some of the same items are not even sold at the Traditional Stores and now several members of congress including u. S. Senator richard plumen that you will asking the ftc to open an investigation. What have they done . The ftc, unfortunately, has done nothing. Reporter to see what we would find my producer and i shopped at an outlet mall in new jersey. Can i return this to a regular saks . No. Reporter our first stop, saks fifth avenue. This line is actually produced for the off 5th stores only. Reporter its a mission tur made for outlet and overflow from the regular store but from the neimanmarcus is this made for just this store or the they said their Clearance Stores receive overflow but last call Studio Stores are all made for outlet clothing. We brought the items we bout to textile professor dr. Janesss devine. First wool sweaters. Theres differencing in the seaming and finishing details right away apparent. Youll notice theres a slight puckering here in the seam of the one from the outlet and the one from the regular store theres just some of those finer details. Reporter check out where each is made. The one from the outlet is made in behind and the one from the regular store is made in italy. Reporter with the gap jeans she points out an easy way theyre made for the outlet. The labeling with three squares denote the outlet. Reporter what about those compared to and market prices, a lot of Outlet Stores have on their tag. Thats not clear from the price of what theyre comparing it to. Reporter we asked neiman and saks to provide us with comparable items. They declined. A spokesman for neiman said since the compared to price is an issue in the litigation, i cannot speak to that. Saks told us market price is determined through an aggregate market comparison. Off 5th stands behind both the quality and pricing of our product. Is it a simple fix . It should be simply telling the truth. Reporter paula faris, abc news, new jersey. A lot of people dont know that, that outlets tend to have cheaper quality. Its not like youre getting the great deal from the regular stores put into outlets. Okay. The controversial move by a missouri grand jury. No indictment for officer Darren Wilson. No probable cause exists to file any charge against officer wilson. This as we see the first pictures of the officer taken after the shooting. That decision led to widespread unrest around the st. Louis area and nationwide. We have extensive coverage on this tuesday, november 25th. Good morning to you all. Im t. J. Holmes. Im reena ninan. Breaking news out of ferguson, missouri, explosive reaction to the grand jurys decision not to indict the white officer who shot and killed Michael Brown. Police in riot gear using tear gas after angry protesters threw bottles and torched squad cars. Youre seeing some of the melee. Stores being letted. Stores set on fire. Several buildings up in flames. Abcs Marci Gonzalez is in ferguson with the latest of the good morning to you. Weve been watching these pictures for quite some time. Does this scene continue now . Reporter good morning to you. Such a tense night here. Finally quieting down now here. Police say they did everything they could to try to calm protesters as they reacted to last nights announcement. Officer Darren Wilson walking free. No probable cause exists to file any charge against officer wilson. Reporter more than three months after he shot and killed unarmed teenager Michael Brown, a grand jury decided wilson will not face any charges. We need to accept that this decision was the grand jurys to make. But i join michaels parents in asking anyone who protests this decision to do so peacefully. Reporter but already the protests have turned violent with shots fired, a pizza shop and police cars set on fire. Demonstrators throwing mol cough cocktails at police and officering responding with smoke bombs and tear gas to break up the crowd. Law enforcement officials worry what were seeing here could continue to intensify and they say they are prepared with a thousand extra officers on the streets, the National Guard and the fbi also here ready to offer backup. Unfortunately, the nonindictment as just set off feelings that have been somewhat repressed for a long time. Reporter were told browns mother broke down in tears when she learned the grand jurys decision. The family attorney saying justice was not served. While officer Darren Wilson is still in hiding now free if he chooses to continue working in Law Enforcement. And the evidence that the grand jury reviewed in reaching this decision was made public tonight including a transcript of wilson describing what happened before the shooting. He says he acted in selfdefense after he claims brown hit him several times and reached for his gun. T. J. And reena. It what are you hearing and how much talk will we hear down the road about the decision itself to announce this at 8 00 at night when they had this information earlier in the day, maybe do it during daylight hours, maybe hold it till tomorrow. Whats the buzz about maybe this possibly could have been avoided to a degree at least if theyd announce it at a different time. Reporter yeah, a lot of people are asking that question this morning, wondering why they waited until nightfall to make that decision. Why they didnt wait just a little bit longer. We havent heard any answers or explanation on that. What can we expect . We know that this isnt just over. There is still a federal situation with this. We heard from attorney general holder today, isnt that correct . Reporter yes, theres still a federal civil rights investigation ongoing and so there could be charges in that. The two investigations are completely separate. Theres no link there. So that investigation is ongoing. Last thing we are, what can we expect ferguson, missouri to look like in the morning . Well see the Daylight Pictures and some of the aftermath. Are people expecting to get back to normal. We know there are some schools closed. Reporter yeah, schools in the ferguson area will be closed tomorrow because of the decision being announced and decided to close the schools and closed for the rest of the week for the thanksgiving holiday. As far as life getting back to normal theres really no telling at this point. Some of toast businesses that were set on fire are still on fire at this point. They havent been put out, the Fire Department hasnt been called out yet because there were so many gunshots in the area. It wasnt safe for them at the time. So there will be a lot of people adjusting to what life will be like tomorrow with these businesses closed and the fear renewed here in ferguson. The violence still ongoing this morning. Thank you so much. We are learning more about officer wilson, the confrontation with Michael Brown. Take a look at these photos of his bruised face, evidence released by the lead prosecutor last night. Wilson told the grand jury that brown hit him in the face with his fist i describing their struggle he said he felt like a 5yearold holding on to hulk hogan. Well, the decision sparked protest in many other american cities. The message to ferguson, we are with you, abcs josh haskell tracking this for us. Josh, so much focus on whats happening in ferguson but a lot of cities getting involved. Good morning, reena and t. J. Weve seen about a dozen protests in cities across the country, people upset with the grand jurys decision in the Michael Brown case. But the majority of these protests have been peaceful. Although Police Departments were put on tactical alert prepared for the worst. In new york city, we saw about a thousand people marching from union square to upper manhattan to protest the grand jurys decision. Some of the signs that were seen in times square read black lives party and no justice, no peace. At one point someone threw red paint on nyp
