Reporter the European Space agency says they still dont know what it means for the mission they launched a decade ago. Using earth and mars gravity to fling it towards a speeding target going as fast as 83,000 miles per hour. A 4 billion mile journey that required amazing accuracy. Think of it like launching a tennis ball in new york, sending it around the globe 160,000 times, landing it precisely in my hand here in los angeles. So, why study a comet . It could be that comet seeded the earth with the Building Blocks for life. Reporter rosetta may tell us more about this mysterious noise. Scientists call it singing. And tonight, a headline that has parked a fiery debate. A new book with a provocative theory straight out of the da vinci code. Was jesus married with children . Abcs terry moran tonight with the authors and the lost gospel they say proves their claim. Reporter did jesus have a wife and two kids . That is the astonishing and to many blasphemous claim in the book. A claim just like the one in the da vinci code. Mary magdalene was jesus see wife. Reporter that was fiction. The authors of this new book claim their version, that jesus married mary ma day len and had two sons, is hidden history. Theres a secret code, they say, buried in the ancient words of a 1,500yearold manuscript. They say in their book and an upcoming documentary, theyve cracked that code. Hes married and it celebrates his sexuality. Reporter many scholars are skeptical. For instance, the name jesus never actually appears in that ancient text. There is simply no evidence in this text or anywhere else that jesus was married to Mary Magdalene much less that they had a couple of children. Reporter one things for sure. After 2,000 years, the power of jesus to inspire great faith and great controversy abides. Terry moran, abc news, london. Terry, thank you.
