Reporter that problemplagued website has sparked lots of controversy on capitol hill. Were barely four weeks into this one, and were already declaring it dead. Why should the American People believe you now . Reporter rapidfire questions for the head of the Health Care Website for whats being called a disastrous rollout. This Health Care Gov site is fixable. Reporter another hit for obama care. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. If you like your health care plan, youll be able to keep your health care plan. Reporter but cbs news has learned insurance providers are dropping more than two Million People because their policies dont meet minimum standards for the new law. The website says if you want to keep the Health Insurance youve got you can keep it and now theyre being told they cant. Thats a lie. Reporter and sending more people into the Health Care Exchange. In maryland, Officials Say more than 300,000 people have visited the States Health Care Exchange website. But website woes are a slowdown. Theyre working hard around the clock to fix all those kinks and work out things. Reporter 40,000 have created accounts on the site. 3100 have enrolled for coverage. Ann chester says shes waiting for the glitches are gone. Just get it fixed and then well see what it is that we may then have to talk about in terms of whether it works or not. Reporter the lack of a fix, the source of frustration for many. And the contractor that developed the maryland Health Care Exchange has now hired more staff it try and fix those glitches. Some have called for her to step down. Dwyer is recovering after a car crash. It happened this morning in pasadena. Police say a car ran a red light and struck his car. Neither driver was seriously hurt. Last week, dwyer was sentenced to 60 days in jail for driving and boating under the influence. The controversy involving Maryland Attorney general doug gensler and a High School Beach house party is giving them an unwanted reputation. Now, the beach town is giving students a warning about partying unsupervised. Should have assumed that there was drinking. Reporter Maryland Attorney general doug gansler is taking the heat from a picture showing him at a packed teen party where witnesses say there was underage drinking. The town of South Bethany delaware where it happened wants more parents feeling the fire, issuing a frank statement about teenage revellers, saying many of the incidents that occurred were poor or absent supervision by parents. Parents often rent the homes and disappear from the scene, leaving teenagers to fend for themselves. Don henretti, a former High School Teacher who rents his home, knows things get out of control and knows parents turn a blind eye. Kids typically begin to experiment with alcohol. Reporter gansler, whos marylands top Law Enforcement official, has spoken out against underage drinking. He and several of the parents of the teens rented the home in june. Police say theyre not investigating whether adults legally watched as minors consumed alcohol. They say too much time has passed to prove anything. Theyve also consulted with delaware state police. Those living nearby say South Bethany is ripe for cracking down. Every parents should be aware of what their children are doing at all times. I dont care where weather theyre 12 or 19. Reporter while the picture has been a blow to ganslers campaign for governor, what happened at this now quiet beach town has sparked a nationwide conversation about parental responsibility. South bethany had eight complaints regarding wild june celebrations last year, and thats down from 30 in 2009. One year ago, Superstorm Sandy devastated parts of maryland, delaware, new york and new jersey. Tonight, one year later, the hardest hit communities are still trying to recover. Dozens of homes still waiting to be rebuilt and businesses still closed but there are some signs of progress along the coast. Wjz is live. Kai jackson has more on the recovery. Reporter Superstorm Sandy isnt in the daily headlines as it once was but many who lived through it are still dealing with the effects. A bonfire in seabright, new jersey, marks a celebration of survival for those who endured Superstorm Sandy last year. The anniversary of the hurricane is both poignant and painful. Even a year after the storm ravaged the area, rebuilding continues. Homes in breezy point, new york, were wiped out by flooding and fire. On the anniversary, volunteers planted seagrass as a buffer against future storms. Right now, every conversation we have leads to hurricane sandy. Reporter stories of hope continue to emerge from the devastation. In far rockaway, new york, the home of rosa vasquez looked just like this in january. The home has been rebuilt with donated numerous item. To finally have your own home and be able to come home, its an undescribable feeling. There was water into the dresser drawers. Reporter ruth of chrisfield remembers Superstorm Sandy, where flooding ravaged the Eastern Shore town in somer set county. The storm hit the hardest in maryland. Yet the building continues. There have been people who lost everything, people who have damage to their homes. Reporter 148 people were killed as a result of Superstorm Sandy. It cost an estimated 68 billion, making it the second costliest storm in us history, behind Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Back to you. Thank you, kai. Well, new details are released about the deadly murder suicide involving a city police officer. Police say 37yearold Christopher Robinson did not use his Service Weapon in the shooting. Robinson killed city firefighter Andrew Hoffman in his home before taking his own life. The family members say he was unable to get over a breakup. Fraternity and a fire. A morgan state student says he was barred from the fraternity because hes guy, and he says he has Text Messages proving the discrimination. Were live where the student has filed a complaint. Reporter this fraternity at Morgan State University is under investigation after Brian Stewart told a member of the fraternity he would not get in because hes guy. It took me aback a little bit but i didnt pay it too much attention. I was like okay, youre saying this but im still going to apply and still going to do what i believe i can do to get in. Reporter but stewart says hurtful messages between Fraternity Members proves his sexual preference would be an issue. He shared a message he received from an anonymous source showing two members using racial and guy slurs. Saying, quote. When asked about the alleged Text Messages between kappa members. The grammy winner was charged with assault in washington yesterday, accused of punching a maryland man who tried to take a fan photo with him. The judge ordered brown back to court november 24. Police say visibility was reduced to zero causing a Chain Reaction collision on the interstate between phoenix and tuscon. They say three people were killed, 12 others injured. 19 vehicles, including six big rigs were involved. A dust storm advisory was issued just before those crashes. Well, shock in a small texas town after five people are killed in a murder spree. Police say Charles Brownlow was arrested early this morning in a wooded area. They say the 36yearold carried out his bloody rampage in four separate locations. One victim identified as his mother was burned to death in her home. Court records show he has an extensive criminal history. An angry California Community takes to the streets following the controversial death of a 14yearold boy at the hands of police. More than 1,000 people marched to protest the Fatal Shooting of andy lopez. Investigators say the teen was carrying a bee bee gun that looked like an assault rifle. They say when he didnt drop the gone, an officer opened fire hitting lopez multiple times. The fbi is investigating the incident. Todays protest lasted three hours and no arrests were made. Another march is scheduled for tomorrow. A High School Teacher in North Carolina is out of a job after allowing students to draw blood for a biology assignment. Mcmillan says the students were finding out their blood types by using a lab kit. The kit included needles that mcmillan allowed the students to reuse after they were cleaned with alcohol. She said she thought the experiment was approved by the school. If it was not okay to use, then i think that it should have been taken out during the summer. We dont want students to be, first of all, sharing a needle and second of all having any type of human blood in the classroom. An assistant principal stopped the lab after receiving a phone call from a concerned parent. Shes not appealing her firing. She says she will concentrate on getting her ph. D. And because its warmer here and cooler here, we get some clouds forming, some light shower activity to the west and north. Thats where the cold air is and some snow still across the extreme Northern Plains and northern rockies. They have a little bit of snow in minnesota this afternoon. And still some light snow across portions of northern california, some of the mountains in nevada and also portions of wyoming and colorado. Here in the east, some increasing clouds from this little area south of us. Most of this rain will dissipate, but we could say that warmer air move in, see a sprinkle or shower or drizzle in the morning and partly cloudy skies throughout much of the day.
