Now at 7 00, hes getting answers about the deputies seen in that video. Three deputies were used of using Excessive Force when they arrested deidre reed which prompted an internal investigation here at the Orange County Sheriffs Office. Tonight the office of professional standards is not saying where their investigation is or if any of these deputies were ever disciplined. Stop hurting my arm. Im not resisting. This is 21yearold deidra reed being arrested by Orange County sheriffs deputies last july. She and a friend were trespassing they say at the but Surveillance Video showing reed scolding one of the deputys sons has led some to speculate that deputies wanted to get back at her. During her arrest, she said she suffered a dislocated shoulder, though she claims she wasnt resisting. Its my dominant shoulder. I sleep on it. Everything. Pain. Like for the first, two, three months it was the most excruciating pain ever. She spoke exclusively to news 6 today the same day she learned the state Attorneys Office dropped the charges against her. Its not a celebration. Its actually an indictment of the court system. Her attorney, natalie jackson, says this case is far from over. Shes getting a case together right now and plans to sue the Orange County Sheriffs Office. She has had to endure being arrested, paying a bond, she has a mugshot, she has a criminal court arrest record that says shes a violent felon. The Sheriffs Office would not comment about reeds charges being dropped, but once again answers to see if any of the deputies involved in reeds arrest will face discipline or not. At the Orange County Sheriffs Office, eric sandoval, news 6. Eric, thank you. Jackson says the cell phone video is responsible for getting the charges against reed dropped. Charges against her friend, reginald lane, were dropped almost immediately. Breaking at 7 00 tonight, orlandos police chief is speaking out after one of his own was dragged during a violent traffic stop and ended up in the hospital. Late this afternoon, the police announced they made an arrest. Morgan is facing several charges including battery on a Law Enforcement officer. This is the story we first broke on the morning news shortly after midnight officer richard fink pulled over a pickup in paramour when police say morgan began to resist and drove off, with officer fink hanging on. He sustained a concussion. He was treat and released last night at the hospital and now resting at home. Hes in good spirits and looking the suspect does have a criminal history. Police say he has resisted arrest before. Also developing right now, days into the new year, Orange County is seeing some troubles with its new automated trash service. Trucks are getting so backed up, people are putting their 95gallon cans out on trash day and theyre not being picked up. News 6 reporter Amanda Castro is getting results and asking why. Garbage bins full of trash still line this Orange County street. They were supposed to be picked up on monday and residents here say they are frustrated that nothings been done. So thats when they called news 6 to get them some results. At this point we just want an answer as to when were going to get a pickup. Boxes left over from christmas still sit in her garbage can, days after it was scheduled to be picked up. Her neighborhood is frustrated with the stinky situation. I want them to come get my trash. Thats all i want. I want them to keep their word other residents in Orange County are reporting similar problems after a new automated Collection System started at the beginning of the new year. This is the transition that you go through when you have such big changes. Jim becker, the countys Solid Waste Division manager, says service has slowed down because some people are not following the new systems rules. Thats recycle. Including leaving enough space between the containers. And putting all their trash into bins. He says his office is getting several complaint calls. Probably 90 of the people are getting the service theyre asking for but were cleaning up the glitches and misses and trying to get it fixed and educate the public on what to do. Hes sending crews to collect the trash in this neighborhood. But until the bins are empty, residents are filled with anger. They need to get out here and give me a call and tell me when theyre coming. I just want the garbage picked up. The county is urging everyone to be patient as they solve the if you have any issues with your trash, youre asked to call it in and theyll get someone out to collect it as soon as they can. Now, other Community Using the automated Collection System took up to three months to smooth out the process. Orange county hopes to drastically reduce problems they say by march. Well, a major twist inside a Seminole County courtroom still has people talking. A mother accused of killing her 17yearold daughter was expected to plead guilty. But Sujatha Guduru changed her mind because she wants a harsher punishment. She was offered 30 years in prison for seconddegree murder, but she reportedly wants life behind bars for killing her daughter. A 17yearold honor student two years ago inside their oviedo home. Her Attorney Says guduru is incredibly depressed and wants to be held accountable for her actions. The judge has ordered a mental evaluation for the 46yearold and shell be back in court in a gas county worker is burned over half his body tonight after an explosion on the job. It happened this morning while the employee was working inside southeast Orange County. The worker was carrying out an inspection inside the home so someone could move in. When he turned on the stoves pilot light, something in the kitchen sparked the gas line. The company says its asking for worker. New at 7 00 tonight, deputies say a teen and two others holiday grinches are facing charges for a cold crime. A little girl and a friend were out trying her new hoverboard when someone jumped out of a car and snatched it. News 6 reporter loren korn shows how the girl helped lead them to the suspects. The family says it happened right here, just feet from their home when the teen got out of the car and attacked the girl from behind. This guy kind of following us a little bit. We were kind of scared. A ride on a new Christmas Toy for the 11yearold and her friend on tuesday after a 16yearold boy and two others stole their hoverboard. We went around the block and they asked if they could ride it. I was like, no. But she says the boy wouldnt back down and asked again. He was like id like to ride it. I said no. We went to go forward. He jumped out the car and pushed me. Thats when she fought back. I started punching him in the back trying to get the hoverboard back. And he wouldnt give it back. So i pushed his head and it hit the car. Deputies say the three teens took off in the car along with the hoverboard. Albany ran home to her foster mom for help. The meyer davis house in ponce inlet. The house seen right there in that picture dates back to the 1920s. Isnt that beautiful . The hasty cottage was built much earlier in the 1880s. In the 1940s it became the ponce inlet post office. The property is about a halfmile from the lighthouse. And one of the oldest buildings in lake county, Fruitland Park was also added to the registry. And it is beautiful. Heres a city picture of hillcrest, built in 1883 by one of the founders of fruitland also honored one of the areas oldest attractions, the monument of states is in the heart of kissimmee near the entrance of lake view park. It was built with rocks and minerals from each of the nations 50 states to rally americans after the attack on pearl harbor. We are so fortunate.
