Three men that served time in prison are hoping to see justice today. Trial set to begin this morning. This is the day these men have been waiting for for decades known as East Cleveland three. They spent half their time behind bars. They want a judge to dismiss their case. Back in february 1995, an East Cleveland man was shot to death. Eugene johnson, jr. Were convicted of that crime. They maintained their innocence ever since saying they were not involved. Fast forward to april 2015, they were released from prison after the judge found evidence of misconduct by the prosecutors in this case. Theyre speaking publicly before this new trial begins. It took 21 years for everything to come together. Like a puzzle, pieces finally came together. Being able to put this together, right now were back and forth to court. Going to see officer.
