Jennifer theres a light mixy type stuff moving through. Well be quiet for a few hours and then rain drops for midday. Probably 11 00 a. M. , noon, 1 00 p. M. Jonathan thats good timing for the race. Jennifer the race at 10 00. It will probably be the middle spot thats a little quiet. Still cloudy and cool. Jonathan we dont want it to be its bockfest. Jennifer oh, no. Theres a lot going on with the race. Most shouldnt have a concern this morning. Its very limited. The flurries that are out there right now. Light snow showers basically moving through for parts of Northern Kentucky. The rest of us, thick cloud cover. Visibility is down. Its a little misty, a little damp out there. Those temperatures are right next to the freezing mark. So it is a band of some snow showers along i71 moving through. Move over i75 quickly for grant county. The 275 loop showing quiet conditions on the radar. Maybe a couple of flakes flying, but should be limited. Thicker clouds have moved in for the potential for flakes. Heres a chance for wet snowflakes in the morning. Maybe sleet mixed in at times over the next hour. Southeast. We should have a quieter period for the late morning before some rain showers return this afternoon. Heres a look at citycam. You can get a look at the visibility being down some at five and six miles. We have the bockfest forecast when the race kicks off at 10 00 30s. Well climb into the mid 40s with light rain showers during the afternoon. It will be cool, cloudy and damp today. The early flakes will come to an end. Jonathan they saw the gun and according to investigators never said anything about it. This morning, two 14yearold students are facing charges connected to the shooting in madison junior senior high this week. Monday morning, Austin Hancock shot two of his classmates and injured two more in the cafeteria after allegedly showing the two students the gun. Hancock is currently facing attempted murder and felony assault charges. Its also against the law to not report a weapon. We spoke with a local defense attorney, who says the teens cannot be tried as adults, but could face a variety of penalties. They could be placed on home details, fines and costs, put on probation. Things of that nature. So the possible punishments are system. Jonathan defense attorney Mark Krumbein says in the state of ohio, depending upon what the judge decides, the teenagers could remain on probation until theyre adults. Happening today, the family of a found dead after being missing for a month will say their final goodbyes. The funeral for tara turner will begin at 11 00 at the peoples funeral home in falmouth. Her body was found in a creek by people fishing last sunday. She is the mother of three children. Investigators still have not said how she died. Shell be buried at Terrell Cemetery in corbin, kentucky tomorrow. A search for answers continues in a deadly crash in cold spring. People have created a memorial at the site in u. S. 27. 30yearold desiree hensdy of alexandria, and her 8yearold daughter, jakyra, crash. Police say the other driver, tammy finauer, crossed the center line. She had to be hospitalized. Word of the crash spread through jakyras elementary school. All i know is i will pray for the family and keep them in my thoughts and prayers and ask everyone i know to do the same, rally around the family and hold them tight. Jonathan police say the investigation into the incident is ongoing. In elmwood place, a father is headed to jail after crashing his car while high on heroin with his daughter in the car. Ryan harding was sentenced to 180 days after admitting the child endangering. Police say harding drove over an embankment and passed out in the front seat. They used narcan to revive him. The child has been placed with his mother. On to commitment 2016, kentucky is among the five states weighing in on the 2016 race for the white house today. Its the caucus in the gop for the bluegrass state. Hillary clinton and donald trump recent super tuesday wins, though Hillary Clinton isnt involved with kentucky today. Its just the gop. The rivals are hoping to bolster their delegate counts. Its not a big enough collection of delegates to be a game changer, but its worth keeping an eye on it for no other reason, just to make sure Donald Trumps trajectory towards the nomination hasnt been altered in any way. One man is in custody in columbus after a shooting left a child dead. 18yearold marctarius grace was arrested. A 5yearold boy and a 19yearold ray kwan hollowway were hospitalized in stable condition. Investigators believe holloway and the children were in a car sprayed with bullets. A group of robbers in central two women they started decided to fight back. Not recommended, but listen to the story. The women say they were in their suv outside a Grocery Store when a robber jumped into the car and pointed a gun. When the gun was pointed at her 2yearold granddaughter in the back seat, well, maggie mayhouse took action. I grabbed the gun from his hand. His hand, he still had the gun and i managed to turn it on him and put it straight at his forehead. I was pulling the trigger. The women followed, rammed their suv into the robbers car and the three men were eventually caught. Deputies say the womens actions were heroic, they strongly do not recommend fighting a suspect.
