Josh we know the name of the driver that was killed while allegedly speeding a way from police, investigators say an officer in stoddard first tried to pull over 59yearold kevin morong, who sped off on route 9, racing through his where and into then henniker before being thrown from his car in a crash involving three other vehicles. Reached speeds of more than 100 Miles Per Hour and camed to stop for police on two occasions. It started started in stoddard t night when a state trooper saw a blue toyota rav4 driving very fast. Officials radioed ahead to his where police who saw the vehicle speeding on route 2029. Authorities say there was a brief pursuit but it was quickly stopped because of the high speeds. Shortly after that, police say there was a henniker where the driver of the toyota lost control and hit three other vehicles. Police say morong was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. We have no idea why this operator was traveling at the rate of speed he was for so long, there was no pursuit going on initially as it was high speed. The colors were at their peak in northern New Hampshire this past weekend, and columbus day is the third busiest travel weekend in the state. And based on numbers from past years, an estimated 600,000 visitors were believedded to weekend. Of course many of them are heading home now, so this makes it slow going on the highway. Three syrians living in germany say that the man approached them at a train station and asked for a place sta stay, they recognized him from a wanted poster. Take a look at plymouth where skies are bright and the find is getting closer to peak in places like plymouth. It has peaked in the great north woods and parts of the white mound mountains. Tonight a frost yirs very after midnight, in and around southern portions of Carroll County through the heart of the lakes freeze warning . In the area that you see the freeze warning youll definitely get frost. This just indicates a good possibility of getting those temperatures actually to freezing or below. You can actually have the frost occur with temperatures that are red read four, five, six feet above the ground. Temperatures right near freezing result in frost, or on grassy areas. Little below to the west. No advisory up north because youve already seen a killing freeze earlier in the month. Youll notice temperatures right now are on the cool side and also accompanied by gusty wind. When youre in the shade it feels quite chilly with the winds active out of the north northwest. Some gusts higher than 30 at times today. But those winds will abate and with clear skies, very dry air freezing in concord. This would mark the coldest temperature since late april. You work a few miles inland and youre down near 32 or 33, that means a good possibility of frost in the morning. Freezing temperatures, my 20s, great north woods, upper 20s in the upper valley. And right around 30 in a good part of the monadnock region. But after a cold start early tomorrow morning youll notice a warmup back to our west, mid 60s not out of the question not only t then a cold front pays us a visit thursday evening before temperatures dip again by friday and the start of next weekend.
