In this quiet corner of franklin, a disturbing find. An individual walking their dog noticed something that looked strange. It was a plastic bottle that was smoking or had some ingredients in it he didn t recognize. Franklin police were called, and authorities jumped into action after recognizing the danger of what the man had found. We were able to identify it as a possible onepot methamphetamine production. Shelley basically math in a bottle, individual portions known as onepots, and just as explosive as any other method. Drug enforcement sealed off spring street. We were able to secure the scene, and we were able to seize approximately 15 plastic bottles shelley we asked, why would anyone make individual portions of meth . It s much more mobile. Why are they not getting treatment at all while incarcerated . Jean the superintendent of the Sullivan County jail says funding programs is worth it. When i was a kid, my parents basically said, if you want to go play, go play. I remember riding my bike two or three towns down, but nowadays, my kids, i would never let them do the same thing i did. Shelley why do so many parents feel this way . Information, the fact that you can go online, open your phone, go on a new site and see something that happened. Shelley sociologist david a single horse says there is no onesizefitsall method to raising kids. The conversation about free range kids and helicopter parenting is primarily happening in this little echo chamber among uppermiddleclass parents who, in my view, have a very nostalgic and selective memory about their own childhood. Shelley the doctor says the most common fear among parents is that their child will be abducted. He says statistics show that probably won t happen, and he points out many parents are more free range than they realize since many kids are just a cell phone call away. I think the evidence suggests phones that can tie them to their parents, parents give kids today more leash than they did before, because they know they can always be in touch. Shelley it s a combination of techniques that this a of two says is her approach. I think it depends on the child. There are children who need more support, and there are some children who will take the independence at an earlier age. Shelley it s an approach the doctor agrees with. I don t think there are rules general. It s really about the dance between a children the situation they are in.
