We have Winter Weather advisories in effect for almost the entire area, and it is because of that snow making its approach. And then rain falls on top of the snow, and that will create freezing rain. We are expecting that monday afternoon through mondayt evening. A quick changeover as we head into the eve ng hours. That will lead to slick roadways. Plus wind and coastal flooding. Those are your hazards we are expecting from this system that arrives tomorrow afternoon and stays with us through tuesday evening. Reporter he owns the grill and just found out his landlord is working with a developer to build this, a largely commercial space on the ground floor, rate on top of restaurant row, he says the landlord assured him nothing like this would happen when he signed his lease two years ago. The landlord did not respond to our calls. Now . The amount of time and money i invested, this has been my life savings here. So now its going to be all gone. Reporter the develop er ers attorney said they might bring these restaurants back, but its too late. Well have to find other places, other jobs to support our families. When the scaffolds go up, they completely destroy the neighborhood. Reporter he owns this restaurant. Its the outdoor seating that drives business here along restaurant row. This is the only part of the community where outdoor seating is permitted. And even if restaurants come back, owners are skeptical that the outdoor seating will remain. The morning commute is going to be dry. Since it is a holiday, we will have fewer people on the roads, which is good news as the snow arrives mid afternoon and continues through the evening rush. Thats going to lead to slick roadways. Thats not going to allow for much melting. Its going to be freezing rain initially, and that could lead to some very slick roadways through the nighttime hours. Right now check out these brutally cold temperatures. Its 13 in floral park. 14 in midtown. 9 in morristown and white plains and you can see the storm approaching on Storm Tracker. Not a lot of moisture with it right now, but its going to tap into warm moisture from the atlantic as it makes its approach and we could see heavy rain on tuesday from this system. But snow falling more substantially down towards princeton and the 287 area, as you head over to the tappensy bridge. All five boroughs getting the snow day point and long island, but the changeover starting to so 7 00, its starting to change over to a mixture of maybe some sleet and freezing rain in the city.
