This time accused of taking a Greyhound Bus on a joyride that bus was found along third avenue in brooklyn. And wait until you hear what he told police. This time stealing a Greyhound Bus from port authority. Sources tell us when he got here to the 78th precinct, he admitted he had plans to steal a plane next. Where were you planning to take the bus . Negative, answer from darius mccollum, escorted into a police car. He now faces several serious charges including grand larceny and police impersonation. Police say he stole this greyhound wednesday afternoon and impersonated law enforcement. When greyhound realized the bus was gone, it was able to track it down on third avenue in brooklyn. Police pulled him over where he flashed a fake security badge and a fake id to go with it. When taken in for questioning at the 78th precinct, Police Sources tell news 4 he admitted his next move was to steal a plane. Mccollum has quite the history he has been arrested for Crimes Involving trains and buses nearly three dozen times. Get this. At the young age of 15, mccollum operated an etrain from 34th street to the World Trade Center without anyone noticing. Charges were dropped in that case back in the early 80s. During the early 90s he was arrested for stealing buses and two years ago he worked out a plea deal for driving a stolen trailways bus. He was captured on the highway leading to kennedy airport. He has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and has admitted he loves mass transit. Wednesday night his transportation an nypd cruiser to jail. The explosion at the twofamily duplex killed a 24yearold man and injured more than a dozen others, one of them an 11yearold child. Dramatic video captured the blast blowing the roof off that building in elizabeth this morning. City officials quickly determined this was a natural gas explosion. Officers will be cracking down on speeding, failure to yield to pedestrians, distracted driving, and parking in traffic lanes. The cold front is right here, separating the coldest air in the 40s from the mild air that is out ahead of it where theyre seeing the severe thunderstorms. Look at this thing curl up. This is a big lowpressure system here that brought the snow to the plains today. And the severe thunderstorms moving through chicago right now. A little sliver of a severe thunderstorm watch is still in effect there. Like i said, were not expecting the Severe Weather of the strongest or most intense part of that storm system. But its the same storm that is headed our way for tomorrow. So its mainly just cloudy overnight and well have clouds in the morning. By midday, well start to see a few steadier showers picking up around the coast and in the city. Then there will be some breaks here and there. The front comes through around 7 00, north and west. This is when we might see a coupe of thundershowers rolling through. Notice how it weakens very rapidly, pulls out of the area. Behind it cooler air and lots of wind. It will be quite windy coming up friday and saturday. Rainfall totals generally less than a tenth of an inch. North and west you might get over a quarter of an inch. There will be scattered showers around during the day. They will be scattered. So not everyone getting rain at the same time, if you get any at all. It looks like a dry evening commute until 7 00. The winds come whipping through on friday, and it feels cold because the temperatures are only going to hover around 50 during the day on saturday. And with the winds, it will probably feel like 40.
