A 34yearold woman got on the m101 bus. She was smoking a cigarette. The bus operator asked her to put it out or get off the bus. She refused. Concerned for his passengers safety, the driver stepped off the bus to transfer them to another bus when the woman got behind the wheel and took off. Thats crazy. Thats crazy. Crazy. I never seen like that in my life. Reporter a Union Spokesman for the bus drivers twu local 100 tells fox 5 news the bus driver ran up and tried to reach through the window to turn off the bus, but the suspect was holding the window down. I done see people fight the bus. Thats crazy. Reporter she continued the normal route, driving north on third avenue. The Surveillance Video captured from next evolution martial arts shows the bus passing by. She was acting as if she was going to pick up passengers. Luckily the bus behind her was able to block her in. Manages to reach in and hit the hydraulic system to stop the bus. She endangered lives, probably could have killed somebody. Reporter she was arrested at the scene and taken to Metropolitan Hospital to be evaluated. Police tell us that she told them she did it because someone was following her. Two workers braved the wind and rain for more than an hour before being rescued from a scaffold that was more than 60 stories up. Steve crazy. Reporter the Fire Department arrived on this block a little before 1 30 and found the two workers on a window washing platform on the 62nd floor of this building with the neon blue lights behind me. The Fire Department, when they arrived, secured the workers, got them a radio and cut a hole in the nearest window so the men the Fire Department closed down this entire block for the hour that the rescue took place. Everybody was scared because you could see theres a hole in the window that they made, the Fire Department made. And everybody was scared that the scaffold was going to fall. A tip led to the capture of a man that raped a woman on Staten Island. This is the man seen on Surveillance Video friday. Police say he walked into an Office Building on forest avenue and raped and robbed a 44yearold woman. At this point, charges are now pending. Dari a suspect is in custody in the slashing of a busboy at a Greenwich Village restaurant. Police say that the 16yearold walked into the silver spurs diner last week and asked people for money. It was part of a basketball fundraising scam. He was told to leave but he slashed a busboy. The busboy needed 120 stitches after the slashing.
