Reporter and, rick, we just heard from the police chief. He came over to tell us that this has ended. This man it s in police custody. It was a welfare check and lasted for nine hours. He barricaded himself inside his home. This has now ended, the s. W. A. T. Team is rolling out. Apparently this man is now in custody. Live in the neighborhood . Reporter since 2 30 this quiet neighborhood has been under heavy police presence. What started as a routine welfare check on Bartlett Court escalated into this, homes evacuated. Reports that a 54yearold man was intoxicated, and willing to harm himself. Police know there are weapons inside. Hes experiencing some personal issues which caused this. And we have trained negotiators who are trying to make contact with this man now. At this point were still working on that. Its really a fluid situation. More s. W. A. T. Units suited up as the skies grew dark. Whats going on . Dont know. Reporter but several residents didnt realize the magnitude of the situation unfolding on their neighborhood block. I saw the police cars coming around. I thought it was a an accident. Bartlett Court. Used to live there. Nobody made any noises, really. A little bit unusual. Ill say that. A lot of these offers that responded to this initial barricade that started at 2 30 this afternoon are packing up. Again, this man, the 54yearold, is in police custody. The latest happening on the 1800 block of snyder avenue in south philadelphia. One before that in a rear alley of the 5800 block of fernwood in southwest philadelphia at about 7 30. And yet another on the 2900 block of north Howard Street here in kensington two hours before that. A verizon truck driver did not wait for the ambulance and rushed the 33yearold victim to the hospital, but doctors could not save him. No arrests so far in any of these homicides. The plan also accounts for lower income families with no tax liability. They would receive rebates through their existing earned income tax credit. His daughter helped craft it and wants to champion it. Ensuring its enactment will be one of my Top Priorities when hes elected come november. Authorities say the driver tried running the three cops over at a phoenix gas station early this morning. One of the officers was flung eight feet into the air. It was his fist day on the job. Didnt stop there, the driver got out and starting brawling. They had to subdue the suspect with a taser. These officers could have been killed and i thank god that were not planning three funerals right now. The driver is now facing three counts of attempted murder. Police dont know what his motive was. In southern california, a driver reportedly stole a semitruck and led police on a chase for three hours. After reaching speeds of 70 miles an hour he pulled off and surrendered. It started started with he refuo pull over. The truck handles hazardous waste, but they were not explosive. The suspect told police he did not to want go back to jail. A philadelphia woman accused of scamming landlords out of tens of thousands of dollars. The alleged elaborate scheme involved several fake identities. But that didnt stop wendy salesman from tracking her down. Shes not only accused of stealing from multiple landlords and wrecking homes, but she stole the identities of her sister, her mother, and her minor child. I cant even explain how upset i am. She signed this lease to rent her home using documents we have now confirm ready fake. Including a hospital id. And pay stubs bearing her 16yearold daughters name. She definitely wins mother of the year award. Using her daughters identity. Reporter after four months of living here, all they received was a security deposit, a bounced check and a lot of excuses. Shes a professional. She owes me over 13,000. Reporter she started the eviction process. Case was delayed. The renter claimed to be hospitalized with a life threatening disease. She will go to any lengths to sort of make that fiasco continue to sort of go on and on. I think it was about 17,000 that we lost in the end. Reporter they accused same woman of damaging his home after living there rent free for six months. She was an experienced con artist. Reporter records showed she couldnt come to court in his case because she fell down and couldnt walk. Looks like its about 50,000 shes taken landlords for. Reporter she was using another alias in her case. She uses all the names interchangeably. Reporter and she successfully delayed this eviction hearing, claiming her daughter had brain surgery and lost her battle. The same person died three times, i think. Reporter action news has seven court cases tied to her and her various court cases. It appears the individual that was arrested committed fraud in a number of ways. Reporter Philadelphia Police arrested her in july on forgery, theft, and conspiracy charges. A decade of alleged deception seemed to be catching up with her. And so did we outside a court hearing. Do you feel bad about saying that your daughter has died . Is that going too far . Seven landlords have been awarded judgments in cases allegedly associated with her. Do you plan to pay them back . Johnson doubts she will see a penny, she hopes she will see justice. Shes a criminal and should be treated as such. Reporter she has a job at a local hospital. Her criminal hearing is rescheduled for later this month. No word on if other landlords will be joining in the suit and if anybody will get compensation. Thank you for that report.
