I dont agree with them going on strike because at the end of the day we have daycare we have to take our children to jobs to go to and its just not fair. Its difficult like im trying to figure out now am going to stay with friends or ride my bike and its raining out riding bike in the rain is not great. Reporter septa and 5700 works are sparring over issues like pension and healthcare and more contentious disagreements with over schedules, break times and driver fatigue. In a statement the union said negotiations took a big step backward today as septas bargaining representatives refused to address noneconomic issues affecting operator and Public Safety. Some of the issues involved contractual provisions the union wants enforced but septa managers think they can ignore the contract and do as they please.
