Reporter well, sharrie, that Facebook Post was a threat to shoot the protesters who gathered outside the linc yesterday and now that guidance counselor has been suspended and this case has been handed over to the d. A. s office. There was plenty of emotion to go around during the five minute diein demonstration near the linc following yesterdays game. But it was one social media post in particular that is at tracking a lot of attention. It came under the account of mary kate blankenburg a guidance counselor at Central Bucks West High School. It read if my child cannot get to the eagles game due to protesters i will personally shoot every one of them. You have been warned idiotsly we spoke with central bucks parents who say its nothing short of unacceptable. I personally think she should get fired. Nobody should talk like that especially a teacher. Frankly it was a bad choice of judgment and you know its a little bit further because its a teacher and they are representatives of the community and the children look up to them. Reporter Central Bucks School superintendent dr. David weitzel issued a Statement Today reading in part responding with urgency and concern we immediately began an investigation including verification of the source and we will take appropriate action once we learn all the facts. The 37yearold guidance counselor has already been placed on paid administrative leave and the District Attorneys Office has launched a formal investigation. We went to speak with her at her home in lansdale but nobody answered the door. Now no one we spoke with believes this Facebook Post constitute add real threat but most agreed that this is a prime example of how venting your feelings on social media can come back to bite you. You have to be careful what you say and think before you say it. Just like a very dangerous world today and you have to be careful of the things you say because people will come after you.
