They anticipated delays led septa to detour bus routes that lamar bonner didnt know about. I was standing on the corner waiting for the bus and i happened to look at the sign and there was a detour sign and i was standing there for about 45 minutes. Reporter its all to make way for the construction needed for the festival and papal mass which will take place on the parkway. As the afternoon commute approached, traffic seemed lighter and delays minimal. The stage workers think the public got the message. People tried to get around the best they can. You know, the information comes out over the newscasts and over the radio and i think people adjust to whatevers going on. Its philadelphia. We adjust. Reporter and we he will see over the next week plus the outer lanes are expected to close on thursday. That really is going to snarl traffic around here. Now, as for those detoured bus routes, there are six of them. Septa recommends you check out their web site for the list of detoured routes so you can catch the bus and get to your place on time. Meanwhile the secretary of Homeland Security was in do you know today taking a look at philadelphia security plan for the popes visit. Jeh johnson along with secret Service Director joe clancy also gave final approval to contingency plans for all of the papal events. Johnson stressed that right now there is no security issue to worry about. We know of no specific credible threat directed at the popes visit here to this city. And so we fully anticipate a successful and safe visit. Officials also showed off their Communication Center today. It will be the hub for more than 50 public safetyrelated agencies that are here during the pontiffs visit. Sunday night is when the city will begin together vehicles that arent removed from the designated papal security zones. Strict parking regulations will be in place from the art museum past city hall. Residents in the area do have options to park in city garages or on certain streets with the cityissued pass. In other news the search continues for the person who set a Philadelphia Restaurant under construction on fire. It happened earlier this week in center city and federal officials are now offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest. Theyre asking for your help to find the person who started it. Meanwhile, some residents are still displaced and others today had questions. This is the man investigators are looking for after flames engulfed this corner at 13th and chancellor. I woke up at 4 a. M. Because my air conditioned room was very hot. I got up and looked out the window. The flames were reaching up to my floor. Thats the 12th floor. Reporter this is viewer video of the fire tuesday morning. I was just scared. I wasnt sure where the fire was and i wasnt i went out without my shirt. Lucky the firemen they were able to provide me he a tshirt. It was 4 a. M. It was cold. Reporter the fire started at a restaurant that was under construction. Investigators wont say where it started but do say someone set this fire on purpose. Nearby cameras caught a shot of someone walking near the building at the time investigators are calling this man a person of interest. It was approximately 1 million in damage that was done to that structure and the two adjacent structures and also displaced approximately 40 individuals from their homes. Reporter the grammercy building is still considered uninhabitable. At the chancellor the other building evacuated some residents have returned but they noticed an unsafe structure notice on the buildings door. That definitely concerns me. Reporter action news reached out to licenses and inspection and discovered the notice didnt currently apply and since the property manager wouldnt take the notice down, an inspector from l and i eventually came to remove it. Residents say all of this has left them shaken. I probably will be moving the next year. Reporter now, there is a 5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Inner drives of the parkway closed through september 29th so that mess is going to continue. Also got a mess this afternoon in Chester County in the southbound lanes of 202. Its because of a crash right in the work zone approaching four or one taking out one of the two lanes. So, coming down from 29 youre looking at single digit speeds in that normally busy spot and theres an accident involving a pedestrian in paoli along 30 lancaster avenue at 252 by the 7eleven and the pnc. In douglas township, still have a crash on the southbound side of 100 at county line road by the rednors. Fire police are helping you around that. Luckily no longer a vehicle fire along 295 in camden county. Thats gone but speeds are still in the 20s because of the earlier fire activity and in Monroe Township gloucester county, still have that downed pole from the crash earlier this afternoon along 322 at piney hollow road. Hes accused of lying to federal agents during their investigation into dylann roof. Court documents say meek wasnt telling the truth when he told an fbi agent he did not know specifics about roofs plan to open fire during a bible study back in june. A judge ordered meek held on 100,000 bond. Two Texas High SchoolFootball Players are offering to apologize for tackling a referee. This is video of the incident which happened outside santonio. A new study shows mostly clouding isnt just tied to heart disease. It can also lead to diabetes. Researchers found active smokers have a 37 percent higher risk of developing diabetes than nonsmokers and for heavy smokers that risk is up to 57 percent higher.
