The action cam was outside that home in feasterville today where public works crews were boarding up the side of the house. 12 girls were found inside that home thursday after a tip call to police. According to police, one of the youngsters who is now 18 is the mother of two of the others. The owner of the home, lee kaplan, and the 18yearolds parents, daniel and Savilla Stoltzfus are all facing charges related to the case. Police in Chester County still have yet to name a suspect or a motive after a 62yearold woman was found beaten to death inside her own home. Reporter rick, Tredyffrin Township Police and detectives continues to investigate this one a woman found beaten to death inside her home. So far authorities havent said if theyve identified any suspects. Today unread newspapers still sit in the drive way of this berwyn home days after a woman was found murdered. Investigators say friday morning around 8 30 a relative called police after discovering 62yearold Denise Barger dead inside her home on the 900 block of Heather Stone drive. Authorities say they died of blunt force trauma. Law enforcement taped off the home as they searched the property for evidence. Bargers husband died in march and public records show the widow recently sold her home but hadnt moved out yet. Now Tredyffrin Township Police and Chester County detectives are trying to determine what happened to her and why. And we did speak to several neighbors off camera today. They are stunned that this happened in their Quiet Community and they are hoping that authorities can can get to the bottom of this very soon. Now new at 5 00, a man and woman are facing burglary charges after they allegedly tried to break into a home in new castle county. Police say koran angle and monet lewis were trying to get into an apartment saturday morning. Investigators say the two led police on a briefcase after they found them hiding in the parking lot. Police say they found evidence linking the two to the burglary. Well, philadelphias controversial beverage tax is now officially a city law. [cheers and applause] philadelphia mayor jim kenney signed the bill this morning at city hall. Council members approved the tax last week which amounts to a one and a half cent per ounce levy on drinks with added sweeteners. Most of the revenue will be spent on city programs, namely, education. The Beverage Industry fiercely fought the bill and has promised to file a challenge in court. Southbound is still heavy as you come down from woodhaven but its northbound that you really need to avoid its a standstill from tasker in south philadelphia the whole way up to cottman avenue. Think about using the boulevard, think about using local roads like frankford avenue. Think about working your way into new jersey and using 130 northbound. It will be better than 8 Miles Per Hour on 95 northbound but if youre headed into new jersey watch out for Police Activity on the ben franklin bridge jersey bound taking out the right lane. Theyll start enrolling 40 healthy adults to test the zika vaccine. Theyre looking to make sure it is safe and that it also has the potential to work. I visited the company when they were working on an ebola vaccine. They say their vaccine for zika aims to prime the immune system to recognize and attack the zika virus. In animal tests it has shown an immune response. Several other companies are also racing to develop a zika vaccine. It has been linked to birth defects and a paris. New treatment to help people battling with opioid addict. Some in our area are the first to receive it. Its specifically for people in long term recovery programs. You all set. All set. Reporter indicat katie bulls game has fought addiction for a long time. Despite her success, its still a battle and she relies on medication to fight cravings. She had been taking pills daily but now shes trying a long term option, called probufin. Dr. Mike cal frost says tiny rods are inserted under the arm. They deliver the drugs for six months. The medication comes out at a steady rate. Reporter . The rods are placed using a local anesthetic and a tithe incision. In six months time we will remove it. Reporter and another set will go in her other arm. Indicate see says she got hooked on painkillers and then heroin. The highs soon became miserable lows. Since then shes turned her life around and now manages a recovery house. My life is 24 7 recovery. Experts and addicts agree there is a great need for more therapies to help people get clean and stay clean. So, this is really the area of concern. South jersey and delaware tomorrow afternoon, i dont think everyone will get the strong to severe storms but those who do could be dealing with some damaging wind and even some hail.
