Pennsylvania government auditors say it will take significant new funding to cut into the states backlog of untested rape kits and they are now recommending penalties for Police Agencies that dont meet testing and reporting standards. The Auditor Generals Office released the report prompted by the state Health Departments disclosure back in may. There were 3,044 overall untested rape kits and 1,852 backlogged rape kits. That means there could be literally thousands of victims in pennsylvania awaiting justice. The new report recommends that the state provide funding to add sufficient people and equipment to end the backlog and ensure that new kits are tested within six months. Well, just days before the 15th anniversary of 9 11, the house of arives has agreed to vote this week on a controversial bill that i will a how the families of victims to sue Sarah Bloomquist in American American courts. If it passes the house, its expected that president obama will veto the bill. The bill triggered a thet from Saudi Arabian officials to pull billions of dollars from the u. S. Economy.
