Airport Officials Say volume, theyre actually down today compared to a normal friday because there are fewer business travelers headed out. The roads could be a different story. More than 90 percent of travelers from the philadelphia area are expected to travel by car this weekend. Aaa says they are experiencing a Record Number of Holiday Travelers this weekend nationwide. This is a broken down vehicle on the northbound side just north of street road taking out the right lane. So, little bit sluggish as you come north here through bucks county. And dont forget if youre trying exit the southbound side of 95 onto columbus boulevard, at the end of the ramp you have to go north on columbus boulevard. Southbound side is still blocked because of that water main break from tuesday. And around all of the area malls, its very busy. Like along route one in delco by marple crossroads, along Baltimore Pike by the springfield mall just 7 Miles Per Hour. Along more land road by the Willow Grove Park mall just 12 Miles Per Hour right now. We also have a crash in abington township along susquehanna road at valley road taking out one lane and by the king of prussia mall weve had a couple accidents. One on mall boulevard by the schuylkill ramps. Another just on 202 southbound at allandale and just in general speeds around all of these shopping complexs are not so hot on this friday afternoon. Well check it again, though, rick, in the next half hour. Matt thank you again. In other news tonight, a ups driver is recovering after he was shot in the shoulder while on the job. Happened just before 1 30 this afternoon near tenth and highland in chester while that driver was making deliveries. Once he was shot the driver found in a nearby car dealership and ran inside for help. He came in because he knew it was safe. We always have police around. We service chester vehicles and we take care of the paramedics. Police do not think the driver was the intended target. He is expected to be okay. Another ups worker in the truck was not injured. The search is on for a burglary suspect who targeted businesses in three counties in the last month. Police in philadelphia, bensalem and radnor are investigating at least a dozen incidents that date back to november 19th. Tonight they are asking for your help. Here is the smash and grab pro taking off his rampage november 19th on aramingo avenue in philadelphia operating overnight using a clawhammer police say to smash right through the front door to grab the cash and make his get away. Six times in philadelphia now getting away from the scene minutes before police on patrol get the alarm call and arrive at the scene. 12 times across our area without getting nabbed. Five times in bensalem bucks county and now once in a radnor township delaware county. Hes only in the stores a minimal amount of time. But he seems to know right where the cash was being kept overnight. He did take a safe push it across the floor all the way out the front door and into the vehicle that was waiting in the parking lot. Appears to be an older model mercedes four door sedan with sunroof and then i believe the other vehicle in philadelphia jobs was a town and country minivan. Strong chose families including Single Parents and grandparents who are racing children to give the toys to. Day five of the manhunt for Jeremiah Monell of cumberland county. Police say monell brutally killed his wife tara oshea in front of their own son even though she had a restraining order against him. Last night osheas loved ones held a candlelight vigil in her honor. Her friends told action news it was clear her husband wanted to kill her. Now supporters of a proposed new jersey law say that legislation could have saved osheas life and many other women in her situation. The question is are restraining orders enough or should more have been done to protect oshea and other victims of Domestic Violence a law vetoed by the governor twice is being pushed through the new Jersey Legislature again right now to electronically monitor violent offenders who continue to harass their victims you. Dont know how many times that she came to my house beat up. Friends of 35yearold tara oshea say she predicted her life would end at the hands of her husband. According to these friends the mother of five did everything she could to protect herself but they say that wasnt enough. She went through the courts and got a restraining order against him. And even the time he broke the restraining order she would call the cops and they wouldnt do anything. On monday december 19th, Jeremiah Monell was accused of murdering her by slashing her throat in front of their 12yearold son. Dont wait for the courts. cause theyre not going to help you. So run. Its a story assemblymen Chris Singleton says he knows all too well. Lisa sin dell was one of his wifes Sorority Sisters killed by her exfiancee. Every minute of delay where someones life could be hanging in the balance there should be a law. Singleton has been the sponsors of a bill called lisas law that has passed the legislature twice. It bill would allow for electronic gps monitoring of violent offenders who have violated restraining orders. The system would alert victim and Law Enforcement if the offender comes within an established perimeter like the victims home. We can give them peace of mind and a fighting chance. Reporter pocket vetoed it when it was passed in 2016. The bill is making its way through the legislature again. The technology exists, the protocols exist and we want to try and give Domestic Violence survivors peace of mind so that they can have an opportunity to go about their day and know that they dont always have to look over their shoulder. Reporter in a Statement Governor christie said he vetoed the bill initially because he did not believe there was Adequate Technology and resources and pocket vetoed it a second time saying the technology was limited not reliable enough and could give victims a false sense of security.
