Umbrella tracking it all with accuweather. You guys said it, its a cold rain today and if you head outside i would put on a decent coat even though temperatures are climbing through the mid40s, satellite and radar first of all. Cloudy overnight when we went on the air, rain was creeping up i95 and it arrives in philadelphia at 7 00 or 8 00 and north of the city and since then it has been wet. We are getting on the other sides of this and still chunks of precipitation to go. And by 3 00 or 4 00 we may see some more intense drying, right now still look at a damp two or three or four hours perhaps. There are steadier cells eye lighted in philadelphia, and Chester County and pushing up toward reading and everyone else is longing at the wet roads and west of dover, additional cells coming in and you may see more breaks in the rain but i dont think we are really done close toert rush hour and even then light sprinkles and showers and drizzle. 46 in philadelphia and cooler in new york central park 41 and 45 down south in washington and 45 in pittsburgh even numbers east of the atlantic, and the wind coming off the ocean at 12 miles per hour. Going as high as 15 to 20 this afternoon. And definite extra reason for the coat and extra gear. This model has us holding at 46 for a high and maybe 48 or 49 over the next couple of hours. I want to show this to you because it gives the idea that temperatures hold steady in the overnight hours and these numbers may even start to rise as we head today morning. Tomorrow we are looking at a milder day. Dry too and breezy and enjoy tomorrow while you got it, because a cold crush of air comes along with light snow in the package in time for friday morning. Katherine scott spoke to police commissioner, richard ross, about the what the video does not show. Reporter this remains under investigation, police say that the cell phone video doesnt tell the whole story but got a better idea of what happened before speaking with the officer and the teen. Its just an ugly situation from start to finish, there is no denying that. A giant melee captured on cell phone video. Yesterday Afternoon Police responded for a person with a weapon at 54th and springfield. They arrived to chaos, a large group of teens fighting in the streets and officers trying to break it up. You see an officer and his team separate from the group and the office forcing the young woman to the ground, and hitting her. One thing that did not get captured on video that the young lady admitted to in her interview was that she slapped into the officer in the face knocking her glasses off her face. The officer was directing the teen to move back from the fight and the teen refused her commands. That is not a neat and clean situation when people are jumping off the cars and tempers are already flaring an at that point we arrive and temperatures dont go down instantly and the young lady was still very, very angry. The teen was charged with assault on police and the teen says she was not hurt at all and the 12th district officer had minor bruising to her eye. There could be an issue of using tactics but more video gives the officers greater context. Both parties told the truth and not a lot of discrepancy between the stories, it doesnt happen that often like that. The officer will remain off the street while the internal Affairs Investigation continues, katherine scott, channel 6 action news.
