Vine street expressway remains closed in both directions for overnight construction. Looks like maybe our first eastbound cars are just starting to move come away from the schuylkill expressway. And as youre coming off of the schuylkill this morning watch out the traffic lights are out at the end of the ramp from the schuylkill to city avenue. The action cam was on the north ninth street and west fisher avenue in the logan section. The fire started in the basement at around 1 00 a. M. Heavy smoke spread up through the building. No injuries were reported. Also new, Authorities Say an argument over a cell phone throwed a double shooting in the citys frankford section. This happened on the front steps of a victims home on the 5300 block of charles street just after midnight. A single gun shot grazed both 18yearold victims. Witnesses sauce three men fleeing the scene. Police in the 15th district did a good job and within minutes found three males who fit the description about three blocks away from this location. Investigators say they are now interviewing witnesses to determine which one of the men was the shooter. Both victims are expected to be okay. Philadelphia police are stepping up their efforts to catch an armed robber. He targets mainly women waiting at bus stops. Officers went door to door handing out fliers in West Oak Lane yesterday. Investigators believe the same man armed with a gun is behind nine bus stop robberies. In all but one case the victims were women. A north jersey man was caught impersonating a Police Officer after he tried to pull over a real Police Officer. Woodbridge Police Sergeant charles stab was driving on the starred state parkway last week when a black suv pulled up behind him and activated its emergency lights. Sergeant stab thought he was being stopped by a state Police Officer and pulled onto the shoulder of the parkway but then the driver took off. I called 911 because i found that suspicious. I didnt believe a state Police Vehicle would do that. I caught up to the vehicle and got the license plate. I got a description of the driver. Police later arrested 68yearold richard gold ridge. Investigators say they found a handgun and fake papers in the suv papers that suggested that gold ridge was in Law Enforcement even though he wasnt. Lets head to the big board. 1700 dupont worker in delaware are getting pink slips. Dupont sed says it will cut those jobs by march and thousands more globally as part of its merger with dow chemical. That amounts to 28 percent of duponts delaware workforce saving the company 700 million. The combined company will have dual headquarters in delaware and michigan until it splits into three separate companies. Up to 675 workers could be laid off at Saint Josephs hospital in philadelphias fairmount section. Workers at the facility at 16th street and girard avenue found out yesterday. The hospital will close on march 31st and will consolidate operations with girard medical center. None of the 400 jobs at girard will be impacted.
