As you say hes just three years old. Hes at chop. He was shot in the leg. An adult neighbor also shot in the leg is said to be in stable condition as well. A confusing chain of events and multiple gun shots this morning. An unidentified gunman looking for one man but shoots his neighbor. Why we dont know. Were looking into that. He was looking for one gentleman in particular. And as a result of not finding him, he ended up firing several rounds. Reporter the neighbor identified as william pew according to his motherinlaw pew drove himself to the hospital. She said he actually drove himself. Reporter is that right. She said cause theres blood over the drivers seat. Reporter the gunman fired at least one shot into 1355 newkirk wounding the threeyearold son of this man, known to neighbors as mo its believed mo may have been the intended target. He had no comment as he entered his nows this afternoon. Councilman Kenyatta Johnson says anyone with information about the gunman and the reasons for the shooting must get that information to investigators. This makes no sense as to how they seized him. This Holiday Season we shouldnt have a family going to the hospital with a threeyearold shot in the leg. This is another reason why we have to be aggressive going after those individuals carrying illegal guns. Reporter still no description of the gunman from police. Councilman johnson says this has been a bad mix of violence, drugs and guns here in this part of grays ferry. People need to speak out. Investigators say sean king start add porch fire last week. A man and woman had to be rescued from the roof and two Neighboring Properties were damaged. Investigators in delaware are trying figure out what started three separate fires including one that left one person dead and another that forced a dozen people out of their homes at an apartment complex. The Delaware State Fire Marshals Office has its hands full today investigating three fires that took place yesterday, two of them are in claymont a third in hockessin. None are connected. Here on Butternut Court 15 apartments were damaged and the red cross is assisting at least 12 people who are unable to return home. I just heard a loud bang. Reporter at first bill said it sounded like a car had backfired. Then he saw smoke coming from a window at Valley Run Apartments in claymont around 9 15 last night. It was just unbelievable how quickly it started from there and just and every time they thought they had it out, it was a flareup again. Reporter flames escalated quickly spreading to apartments on the unit block of Butternut Court. They were several injuries, none of them serious. The Delaware State Fire Marshals Office was back here this morning investigating trying to determine what caused the blaze that left these homes in ruins just days before christmas. My friend darren that lives upstairs was just talking about, you know, i had my wifes christmas presents wrapped and ready to go and its all gone, you know. They lost everything in a blink of an eye. Reporter just a few miles away yesterday morning firefighters were called to harbor House Apartments in claymont for a different fire that claimed one persons life and injured another. The flames advanced quickly, nearly 40 people couldnt return home. A 72yearold man was rescued by firefighters and taken to the hospital in serious condition. Back here at Butternut Court you can see the blown outwindows. The apartments are completely destroyed. Were hearing there could be at least a half Million Dollars worth of damage. In claymont Katherine Scott, channel6 action news. That third fire katherine mentioned started at a barn in hockessin. It happened around 8 30 last night at the york land Arabian Horse farm on gun club road. The blaze killed 12 horses. Vernon odom will have more in a live report at 5 30. A drug bust in delaware led police to a stash of marijuana hallucinogenic mushrooms and candy laced with hash. Officers uncovered the drugs and cash on speak man place in wilmington. Then we await the arrival of another round of precipitation and this is the one that were tracking as we get into Christmas Eve. So, satellite 6 along with action radar takes you to the west coast because were tracking this moisture thats developing across the four Corners Energy coming out of denver colorado. This moisture dips down to our south, works its way eastward. As you get that moisture coming in from the gulf of mexico working its way any other delaware and Lehigh Valleys for Christmas Eve. Heres what we can expect on wednesday. A soaking rain anywhere from a half inch to an inch of rainfall on the way.
