Reporter toys toys avenue why all donated to bring joy to needy children. The glen side chapter of toys for tots has a full warehouse and lots of volunteers but christmas 2016 presents a lot of needs, this chapter provided toys across Montgomery County and western bucks county. Nearly 12,500 children were served last year and more requests are expectd this year. My count is about 8,000 and its not thanksgiving yet. For many of those that volunteer to sort out toys and pack them for pickup before christmas this is an annual labor of love. Take this marine corps veteran. I can sit back on Christmas Day and have a smile on my face. For others this is a first time experience. They needed help sorting toys and counting toys and filling orders and i had off this week, and im a mom of two little kids and i couldnt think of a better way to spend my week. Making sure they get effect they listed on this paper. Making the kids happy. More toys are needed and so are volunteers as they operation heads towards Christmas Day. We need people to pack the orderers we need a lot of help out here. We are not at the north pole but this is a santas workshop full of volunteer elves spending their time to prepare gifts for people in need another wise they have a lean Holiday Season.
