Kid, goes to the high school, was a Football Player from what i understand at this point. He should be sitting in the classroom. He should be bettering himself academically but unfortunately hes not. Reporter within moments that of first shooting a few blocks away a second shooting incident involving two vehicles broke out. The victim was rushed to a private car to Crozer Chester Medical Center in one of the cars clearly involved. The windows had been shot out. No word on the condition of that victim. Still later around 10 30 police say there was a third shooting incident nearby. When police got there they found shell casings but no victim. Early this Afternoon Police say they spotted a man walking along 13th street carrily a gun. They say he leveled it at them but they fired first. At this hour police are still searching for that weapon. Running theory is that one is an individual incident and two, three and four could have a connection. Were looking into it. Reporter no firm word on which ones of those two, three and four are relate related at this point. The name of the 16yearold murder victim has not been released yet by Chester Police. Reporter yeah, sharrie, as you can imagine parents and neighbors are disturbed and troubled by this spate of violence but sadly not all that surprised. As word echoed through the streets of yesterday that a 16yearold had been gunned down and killed, parents, frantically begin arriving at Chester High School looking to get their son or daughter as the school was on lockdown. It was a mess. Everybody was rushing cars pulling up, running up there, you know, for their kids and whatnot. It was a lot of parents that was upset and everything. Reporter ultimately though calm would prevail the lockdown lifted and the dismissal just after 2 00 p. M. Was orderly under the watchful eye of the superintendent. Attawana millers daughter began school weeks ago. Here in chester even on the streets across from the high school. Ago, they came up the alley and they was shooting out here. Put bullet holes in my mother car and everything. Reporter and some parents tells they were upset that the Chester High School did not send out a text message, a phone call or an email indicating that there had been a lockdown here at Chester High School. Former penn state president Graham Spanier and former Vice President gary schultz will have to spend two months in jail. Tim curly will spend three months behind bars. They also received several months of house arrest. A coaching assistant told administrato h sandusky molesting a boy in 2001 but no one reported it to police. Sandusky was not arrested until 2011. The pilot of a helicopter that crashed last week was laid to rest today. 37yearold Michael Murphy was killed when his medical helicopter crashed in a delaware industrial park. Family and friends honored his life today at the christ redeemer Assumption Church in atco, new jersey. Murphy was conducting training in the area at the time of his death. He leaves behind a wife who is pregnant and a twoyearold son. A fire at an acme in bensalem had emergency crews tearing apart the roof. Chopper6 was overhead as firefighters worked to put out those hot spots. The flames broke out around 11 30 this morning at the Grocery Store near bristol road. Customers were evacuated and no one was injured. Gps Technology Helped Philadelphia Police run down a pile of stolen batteries today. Investigators say someone stole numerous car batteries from a walmart in camden. But officers were able to track the thief because the batteries had a tracing device attached to them. Police monitored the thief until he stopped in the 9000 block island avenue in southwest philadelphia. Well, this car was found full of the batteries. That was just one of the many accolades for that every day hero 17yearold rudy edwards at his high school overbrook high. This is all to celebrate edwards heroism when he ran into his burning home to save the life of his oneyearold nephew. The raging fire destroyed his home on flanders road in overbrook.
