When the spinning thing whatever its called, when it started spinning i started crying. It was 700 feet in the clouds 5 feet in diameter on the ground. Roxanne and jayden laid in the mud and marsh certain it was coming straight at them. It was terrifying. It was i feared for our lives. Reporter then when it was just 20 feet away the water spout turned. Like it was coming straight towards us and then it veered the other way. Reporter stranded by low tide and unable to get a cell connection roxanne hit the emergency button on her phone. They caught a ping in the caller from the cell phone and it was able to give us a gps coordinate and sent us a little map of where they suspect they were the last time they called. Reporter rescuers headed to the area and were able to spot them because they hoisted a lifeguard jacket on top of a paddle and held it up in the air. It was a very good idea they did because when tide is low you cant see nothing and they cant see where theyre actually at. When the funnel cloud started it was just a real small tail and you just watched it come down to the ground. I need. Prosecutors say she tried befriending an infants mother at the Mall Food Court last year and then took off with the child. She allegedly sought out a baby in a scheme to convince her family that the baby was hers. The seven week old boy was not harmed during that incident. Were getting new details about the conditions inside that tractortrailer that was hauling 100 people. Plus, an unusual series of attacks in a no, park turns out a squirrel has sent several people to the hospital with injuries. We are getting new information this afternoon about the deaths of 10 people whose bodies were found in a broiling tractortrailer in texas. That truck was found in a walmart parking not san antonio yesterday packed with migrant immigrants. Four people survived. Abcs donya bacchus has details. Reporter as many as 100 undocumented immigrants were crammed into a sweltering tractortrailer the air conditioning not working. Parked outside a san antonio walmart. Dozens suffering from the intense triple digit heat. Folks were literally baking in the heat of texas sun. Reporter today the driver 60yearold James Bradley of florida was in federal court. His criminal complaint detailing the treacherous journey that left 10 people dead. One person on board telling investigators that there was a hole in the trailer it was provide ventilation and they took turns breathing from the hole. In that and that people were hitting the trailer walls and making noise to get the drivers attention but federal investigators say bradley never stopped. Also according to the complaint the driver told authorities he did not know anyone was in the trailer until he got out of the truck at walmart saying that he opened the trailer after hearing banging inside. And apparently did not call 911 even after he found out at least one person was dead. These people were in that trailer without any signs of any type of water so youre looking at a a lot of heat stroke a lot of dehydration. Reporter the immigrants were reportedly from mexico and Central America and the complaint says they paid thousands to get to san antonio and other destinations. One saying he paid 5500 to cross into laredo and be smuggled. Officials say 30 people including two people were rushed to the hospital, some sufferingly from traumatic brain injuries. A walmart employee called 911 when he spotted a disoriented man who was desperate for water. That suspect the smuggler James Bradley could face life in prison or the death penalty. Immigration agents saying theyre continuing to search for anyone else involved in this operation. In san antonio texas, donya bacchus channel6 action news. A police chase in missouri led to a standoff and subsequent shooting on a typically busy highway. Spike strips stopped the vehicle which was stolen during a carjacking in saint louis. Police say the suspect who was wearing a bulletproof vest fired at Police Officers. Bullets shattered the windshield of a Police Cruiser and you can see the suspects car is also covered with bullet holes. After some time, a s. W. A. T. Team carefully approached that vehicle and found the suspect dead inside. Something unusual is causing a whole lot of concern in new york citys prospect park. An aggressive squirrel. The animal is believed to have already bitten at least five people. One victim says the bite happened while he was feeding the animal but another family says the squirrel bit their daughter in an unprovoked attack. The news has lots of people being extra cautious. Well, the Health Department there in new york is urging anyone in the area to was bitten in the last two weeks to get checked for rabies. So, tomorrow across the region a cloudy start, some afternoon sun, High Temperature tomorrow in philadelphia in at 81. 78 in allentown, the lehigh valley, 79 in reading and lancaster. Down in cape may at 80 the high tomorrow in dover coming in at 83. So, the four day at 4 00 showing you its a cooler day tomorrow, some sun, the humidity will be dropping, a High Temperature of just 81 degrees. Lower humidity even still on wednesday with a high in at 82. Turning more humid by thursday with those evening showers and storms, a High Temperature in at 87 degrees and early thunderstorms on friday, then afternoon sun, High Temperature in at 86 degrees.
